POST OPERATIONS IN RSUD dr. M. JUNUS BENGKULU

ABSTRACT
Laparatomy is one of the abdominal surgeries which increases in number every year.
This is evidenced from the results of the initial survey conducted at the RSUD dr. M. Yunus
Bengkulu, where the last 3 years has increased. One of the main problems that is often reported
by patients with postoperative laparotomy is pain. Pain in laparotomy is acute pain that lasts for a
short time that occurs due to a surgical incision wound.
The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of slow stroke back massage
and hand massage therapy for postoperative pain in laparotomy.
The research design used in this research is quantitative research using the true experiment 2
group pre and post test methods. In univariate analysis, the frequency of demographic data was
obtained as well as the results of the frequency of pain intensity pre and post therapy. And the
results of bivariate analysis showed that there was an influence given from both therapies, where
the p value was 0.001.
For the results of the Mann Whitney test, there is no comparison between the
effectiveness of slow stroke back massage and hand massage therapy with a p value of 0.983.
From this study it can be concluded that slow stroke back massage and hand massage
therapy both have an influence on decreasing pain intensity. It is recommended for further
researchers to examine cases of acute and chronic pain with different cases.

ABSTRAK
Laparatomi adalah salah satu bedah abdomen yang mengalami peningkatan jumlah setiap
tahunnya. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil survei awal yang dilakukan di RSUD dr. M. Yunus
Bengkulu, dimana 3 tahun terakhir mengalami peningkatan. Salah satu masalah utama yang
sering dilaporkan oleh pasien dengan post operasi laparatomi adalah nyeri. Nyeri pada
laparatomi adalah nyeri akut yang berlangsung dalam waktu yang singkat yang terjadi karena
adanya luka insisi bekas pembedahan.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas terapi slow
stroke back massage dan hand massage terhadap nyeri post operasi laparatomi.
Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif
dengan menggunakan metode true experiment 2 group pre dan post test. Pada analisis univariat
diperoleh frekuensi data demografi serta hasil frekuensi intensitas nyeri pre dan post terapi. Dan
hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang diberikan dari kedua terapi, dimana
nilai p value 0,001. Untuk hasil uji mann whitney didapatkan tidak ada perbandingan efektivitas
antara terapi slow stroke back massage dan hand massage dengan nilai p value 0,983.
Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terapi slow stroke back massage dan hand
massage sama- sama memberikan pengaruh terhadap penurunan intensitas nyeri. Disarankan
bagi peneliti selanjutnya agar meneliti pada kasus nyeri akut dan kronis dengan kasus yang
berbeda.
