SLC loop 1 is active then turn on the onboard NAC 1
circuit.
151
BRACKET/PARENTHESIS
Brackets specify order of operation
“( )”
Example:
L1:4+(L1:2*L1:3)=AR1
If (both initiating devices 2 and 3) or 4 is active on
SLC loop 1 then activate agent release 1.
152
COMMA
Activating Multiple outputs
“,”
Example:
L1:1=SG1,RY1,L1:8
Initiating device 1 on SLC loop 1 activates onboard
NAC circuit 1, onboard relay 1, and device 8 on SLC
loop 1
153
EOC “DELAY” OPERATOR
The “DELAY” Operator
“D”
Example:
D(L1:1,30)=SG1
When device with address 1 on SLC loop 1 activates,
wait 30 seconds and then turn on SG1.
• Delay is specified in seconds.
• Single delays cannot exceed 3,600 seconds.
• Delays longer than 3,600 seconds can be achieved buy
using special programming.
154
EOC “GREATER THAN” OPERATOR
The “GREATER THAN” Operator
“(Input)>1”
Example:
(L1:1#10)>1=SG1
When more than one initiating device is active from
addresses 1 thru 10 on SLC loop 1, turn on the
onboard NAC 1 circuit.
155
EOC “ABORT” OPERATOR
“D(Input,Delay,Abort)”
Example:
D(L1:1,30,L1:10)=AR1
During discharge countdown, if abort with address 10
on SLC loop 1 is activated, execute abort per defined
abort type.
Abort Characteristics
• Do not use “+”, or “#’’ when specifying multiple aborts.
• Do not assign aborts to an identifier and then sub in the
identifier.
156
SIGNAL CIRCUIT ACTIVATION SPECIFIER
“SG1/60”
Example:
L1:1+L1:2=SG1/60
L1:1*L1:2=SG1:1/120
When initiating device 1 or 2 on SLC loop 1 activates
turn on SG1 @ 60BPM.
When initiating device 1 and 2 on SLC loop 1 are both
active, turn on SG1 on R-NAC card 1 @ 120 BPM.
157
SIGNAL CIRCUIT ACTIVATION SPECIFIER
158
EOC “NOT” OPERATOR
“N”
Example (Input):
L1:1*NL1:2=SG1
When initiating device 1 on SLC loop 1 is active and initiating
device 2 on SLC loop 1 is not active then turn on SG1.
Example (Output):
L1:1+L1:2=SG1
L1:1*L1:2=NSG1
When initiating device 1 or 2 on SLC 1 is active then turn on
SG1.
When initiating devices 1 and 2 are both active then turn off
SG1. 159
EOC “TROUBLE” OPERATOR
“T(Input)”
Example:
T(L1:1)=SG1
When device 1 on SLC loop 1 goes into “trouble”
then turn on SG1.
160
EOC “PRE-ALARM” OPERATOR
“P(Input)”
Example:
P(L1:1)=SG1
When initiating device 1 on SLC loop 1 goes into Pre-
Alarm then turn on SG1.
161
EOC GENERAL TROUBLE “GT” OPERATOR
“GT”
Example:
GT=SG1
When the panel goes into trouble for any reason then
activate SG1.
162
GENERAL SUPERVISORY “GS” OPERATOR
“GS”
Example:
GS=SG1
When the panel goes into supervisory for any reason
then activate SG1.
163
LAM OUTPUT SYNTAX
Syntax for referencing LAM LEDs
LEDr:k
LED number
164
EOC EXAMPLE WITH LAM OUTPUTS
Example:
L1:1#5=LED1:1
165
“C” STATE IDENTIFIER
The “C” identifier is a state condition which can be turned ON
when a set of conditions are met within the EOC program.
166
“C” STATE IDENTIFIER
“C”
Example:
L1:1#4=C1
C1=AR1,NC1,C2
D(C2,30)=NAR1,NC2
If any initiating device on loop 1 within address 1 thru 4 are
active, then C1 is true.
If C1 is ON/TRUE then Turn ON AR1, Turn OFF C1, Turn ON
C2.
When C2 is ON, Start 30 second counter. After counter, Turn
OFF AR1, Turn OFF C2.
167
“C” STATE IDENTIFIER
“C and >”
Example 2:
L1:1#4>1=C1
C1=SG1
On or Off
True or False
169
INCREMENTAL VARIABLE
“Q”
Example:
L1:1#4=C1
C1=Q1,NC1
Q1>3=SG1,NQ1
If initiating any devices with loop 1 address 1 thru address 4
are active, then C1 is true
If C1 is ON/TRUE then add 1 to Q1 and clear C1 to allow
more activations of C1
When Q1 is GREATER than 3, Turn ON SG1 and set Q1 to
ZERO.
170
‘Q’ IDENTIFIER CHARACTERISTICS
Q must be defined on the right side of the equation
before they can be used on the left side.
Q must never appear on the right side of the equation
after they appear on the left side, unless to NQ
Q should only appear once on the right side of the
equation unless to NQ.
Once activated and assigned a non-Zero value, it can
only be reassigned to its initial Zero by a NQ
Very useful for discharges longer than 1 hour!
171
EOC “I” COUNTING IDENTIFIER
“I”
Example:
(L1:1#10)=I1
When an initiating device from addresses 1 through
10 on SLC loop 1 actives, set I1 to one and increment
I1 on subsequent device activations.
Example:
F3:L1:1 = SG1
If device on remote node 3 SLC loop1 is activated
turn on SG1.
173
EOC RULES AND GUIDELINES
• 128 characters per EOC Line
• 255 EOC Lines
• No more than 64 Delay-Abort Statements
• Try to list every ON command for an output once
• Outputs and C statements are ON until a command

EVENT OUTPUT CONTROL PROGRAMMING
Basic Program Structure
Inputs = Outputs
Input/Condition part Output/Action part
Syntax:
k=U
Where k = Initiation device address
U = Output
Example:
1=SG1
If initiating device with address 1 active then turn on SG1.
188
DESIGNATION OF INITIATING DEVICES
All initiating devices specified by ONLY the device
address.
Example:
25
AI with address 25
189
SINGLE LOOP EOC
190
SINGLE LOOP EOC
Example:
1#4=5,SG1
