The greatest universities in the world attach a lot of value to research. If you 
plan to study at Harvard, Cambridge or similar places in the future, it is a 
good idea to engage in learning beyond school or college. If you can come 
up with some research of your own, that will make your application infinitely 
more strong. 
 
Bijamati in collaboration with Cheenta has designed a Data Science Program 
that puts you in that path of advanced learning and research.  
 
The ​foundation module​ will create enough background in statistics, 
calculus, linear algebra, and python, so that you may take up an advanced 
project.  
 
In the ​project module​, you will work with an advanced researcher. The 
researcher will use real projects and real data (possibly from his/her own 
published material). This will give you hands-on experience in research. 
 
If you are planning to build a career in Data Science, nothing will further that 
cause, than working on real projects.  
 
Bijamati Data Science program uses actual projects to help you learn. You 
will be collaborating with actual researchers who have published work.

Finally, if you do well in foundation and project modules, you may collaborate 
with Bijamati team in the ​research module​. In this part, you will work in a 
real, ongoing project involving Data Science (deep learning, machine 
learning, artificial intelligence, statistical methods etc.)  
 
 
 

Course Structure 
Foundation Module - duration 20 weeks
 
Calculus  Working knowledge of single and multivariable 
  calculus is necessary for optimization of processes. 
 
Estimated duration:​ 16 weeks 
 
Statistics  Basic statistical methods, regression analysis, 
  hypothesis testing.  
 
Estimated duration: ​16 weeks 
 
Linear Algebra  Basic understanding of matrix algebra.

Probability Theory  Probability Theory, Bayes Theorem, Measure 
theoretic background.

Python  Fundamentals of programming and algorithms.
