decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When
reporting the repair, use "PS54225" as the Part Number and "7755"

PROBLEM
In certain applications the final drive can experience premature spline
wear on 789D Off-Highway Trucks. Spline wear can occur on the 8W-3215
Carrier and the 106-6531 Hub due to loads that exceed initial design
limits. Premature wear may prevent the reuse of these components at PCR.

ACTION REQUIRED
At PCR, inspect the splines on the 8W-3215 Carrier, 106-6531 Hub, and 245-
3820 Sun Gear to determine reuse based on SEBF8225. If one or more of
these components do not meet reuse guidelines due to wear on the splines,
replace with part numbers listed above.

Refer to UENR1065, Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive, Brake and Wheel
(Rear) - Disassemble" and "Final Drive, Brake and Wheel (Rear) -
Assemble", to complete this repair.

No labor is allowed since these parts are to be inspected at PCR

and replaced if necessary.
