EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This business plan will show how a total investment of P350,000 could
yield cumulative net profit of up to P800,000 in three years and a million in
the five years.

The purpose of this plan is to secure additional funding from an investor


who is willing to invest P300,000 to cover up our start-up cost.

Food Trip is a start-up business dedicated in providing affordable streets


delights not only in Buguey, Cagayan, but also in whole Northeastern Cagayan,
in a manner that generate equitable returns for the owners and superior value
to the customers. These streets delights are include variety of cold treats for
summers season and warm foods for rainy season. Our products are sure hit
to students, kids and even to adults.

The towns along the Northeastern Coast of Cagayan is now experiencing


economic and population growth over this past years. Local business
establishments are slowly catching up with this opportunity. These towns’
people have always feeding on common snacks from a relatively common
business establishments. We are opening a new type business establishments
that is surely new to the towns’ people’s eyes. We are going to put up a Food
Truck in our area, starting in Buguey, Cagayan, equip with what urban food
trucks have and selling products that are still affordable to locals.

Currently, there are no food trucks in the Northeastern towns of


Cagayan Valley. We will be the very first food truck paving the roads of Sta.
Ana, Gonzaga, Sta. Teresita, Buguey, Camalanuigan and even Aparri,
Cagayan. It is a great opportunity for our business be known in these towns,
sell our quality products and earn large amount of income at the end of the
year.

A. Description of the Food Trip

Treat’s Wheels is a rural food truck dedicated in selling delicate street


foods to the towns of north-eastern Cagayan. It is a start-up business that
will offer better street foods at a reasonable price. We will sell common but
quality street foods like Shakes, Ice Creams, and Mais con Yelo for summer
season. Champorado, Sopas, and Goto will be available for cold, chilling days.
Our main product that we will sell the whole year round are Classic Burgers,
Cheese Burgers and Veggie Burgers.

The big advantage of food trucks is its ability to travel from place to
place. We can sell our products to a place where the crowd is big, near events
and celebrations. With different materials and supplies present to every town,
our business is flexible to what food is needed by our customers.

Our business is guaranteed rare form of business to rural residents. This


alone can catch customer’s interest as to what our food truck might be. We
will make use of the chance to promote our business to the locals. We will
advertise our business and our products in the “net”, especially in Facebook,
since it is the widely used social media site in our country.

We will make Food Trip one of the famous business not only in Buguey
but in the whole North-eastern Cagayan.

B. Mission, Vision and Objectives

Food Trip’s mission is to offer residents of north-eastern part Cagayan


the best kind of street food in town. We are committed to provide the service
and product quality our customers expect.

Our vision is that every time we open Food Trip, customers are in line
wanting a taste of our treats with their smiles. We, with our customers,
sharing moments of the two seasons by means of our street delights.

Our goal in putting up this business are:

 Provide a different street food experience to customers


 To offer our customers delicious street foods at an affordable price
and provide outstanding customer experience
 Measure a minimum of 10% yearly sales growth and less
customer complaints
 To generate positive cash flow from operations and at least 20%
net profits to sales

refreshing taste for summer, warm food for rainy season and filling snacks.

Food Trip products can be prepared in less than 10 minutes and are
easily be eaten, ensuring fast service and high customers’ satisfaction. Our
business also plans to improve these products basing and combining from
what we will experience from different towns.

D. Management Team

Food trip will be manage by partnership in its early stages with only 5
individuals operating the business. With such group, communication between
the staff will be more efficient, simply because of the size of working area.
Food Trip is divided into five functional areas: Marketing, Production, Finance,
Electrical and Equipment Maintainer, and Vehicle Maintenance.
Food Trip Manager - Babylyn Gamayon. Oversees the operations of the
business and is responsible in the business planning, organizing and directing.
Finance and Marketing Manager - Arjay Arellano. Determines the
appropriate capital structure of the business and in charge of the Financial
Statements and Bookkeeping.
Production Manager - Aila Marie Dasalla. Ensures production meets
customers’ demands and is in charge of identifying production processes and
suppliers that minimizes production cost. She is also responsible in customer
service.
Vehicle Maintainer, Amante Alejo. Responsible for the maintenance,
repairs and legal expenses of the food truck. He is also in charge of driving.
Electrical and Equipment Maintainer, Vermil Verbo. Inspects every
equipment is up and running. He is in charge of electrical maintenance,
equipment repairs and change in terms of efficiency.
Although each one of us has our own work, we lend our help to everyone
on our team especially to our production manager.

E. Marketing Plan

Given the products and when we will sell these products is a marketing
strategy the Food Trip have to ensure greater profit. Being flexible and
adaptive to the customers need is an essential trait a business have to stay
competitive in the market.

Food Trip will utilize internet advertising, especially in social media. We


will create a website and a Facebook Page, and post every activities of the
business. We will use these media to notify residents about our target location.
We can also post our next menu, improvements of our products and changes
in the business. We can also entertain customers’ queries, complains and
suggestions easier and faster through this type of medium.

F. Location

We will travel to a town market at morning. The schedule for “Dapun”


in north-eastern towns of Cagayan will be our guide to ensure more potential
customers, thus, more profit.

Then our next stop will be the schools at noon. Most students are fond
of eating street foods after eating lunch, making it as their dessert. Given the
ability of the business to travel from place to place, we can also stop at public
events and celebrations.

Our main target location is the Barangay and Town Fiestas. It will be a
perfect opportunity for us to sell more than the average sold unit per day.
Starting from Santa Ana, to Gonzaga, Santa Teresita, here in Buguey, and
other neighboring towns. Travelling to Aparri, Cagayan is also a great
opportunity for our business to earn more profit.

Food Trip’s main market are customers of all ages, from kids and
students to bystanders and grandparents, who seek refreshment and quench
for thirst, warm for chilling rains or just hungry and wanted a bite.

Since we are traveling from town to town, our competitors will vary from
small food stalls to local restaurants.
