SIC Personnel Job Description and Key Result Areas (KRA’s)

PRESIDENT/SCHOOL HEAD

The executive officer of the institution. As chairperson of the


Administrative Council, has the final responsibility in carrying out all the
decisions pertaining to the governance of the school. The President animates,
facilitates and signifies the school community to undertake the courses of
action with accompanying wholesome educational atmosphere along the
school’s thrust.

 Roles and functions of all personnel defined.
 Sop’s policies governing the implementations of the programs
establishes.
 Effective and efficient educational leadership and communication
provided.
 Reporting system for future decisions and actions established.
 Prepares long-range development plans for the institution and draws up
annual budget proposal for these long-range plans, including their
internalization.
 Collects, reviews and initially approves the annual programs propose by
the administrators before submission to the Board of Trustees.
 Updating of curricular, co-curricular and school communities initiated.
 Well-being of personnel provided.
 Institutional Budget submitted.
VICE PRESIDENT’S
1. Executive Vice President
The Executive Vice President provides leadership, direction and
supervision for instructional services, student services, and provide
leadership for the faculty and staff in pursuit of excellence in teaching
and learning, innovation in curriculum development, and opportunities
for professional development. The Executive Vice President will serve in
the place of the President in his/her absence. Position reports directly to
the President, serves as a member of the College Cabinet, and works
collaboratively with all functional areas of the college.

2. Vice President for Religious Formation


The Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for the
academic curriculum of the institution, providing leadership to the
faculty and managing the processes through which teaching is
conducted and administered at San Isidro College. The Vice President
insures that the curriculum appropriately reflects the mission of the
campus and that it is as current as possible in terms of disciplines and
delivery.

Major duties (Essential Functions):


• Serve as chief administrative officer in the absence of the President
as instructed;
• Supervise all matters relating to curriculum and instruction in the
college, including outreach, evening and summer courses, scheduling
and overloads;
• Oversee faculty and academic staff recruitment and development
activities;
• Provide advisory recommendations to the President on all academic
appointments, tenure and promotion matters and ensure that such
processes comply with the terms of faculty bargaining agreements;
• Oversee development and implementation of academic strategic
planning;
• Establish priorities and plans for program development, faculty
recruitment and development;
• Provide academic input to institutional enrollment management
efforts;
• Coordinate periodic academic program review and work with
administration in the review, study, and development of curriculum
and in the improvement of instruction;
• Perform other duties as assigned by the President.

3. Vice President for Administration and Finance


The Vice President for Finance and Administration reports directly
to the President of the University, is a member of the President's
senior leadership team, and serves as chief advisor to the President
and other senior staff on campus fiscal, operational, and
administrative issues.

Direct reports to the Vice President for Finance and Administration


include the administrative units representing the employees:
 Financial Management and Budget
 Facilities and Capital Construction
 Controller (including Accounting, Procurement, Institutional
Services, Internal Controls, Parking and etc.)
 Human Resources Management
 University Police
 Internal Audit
 Environmental Sustainability

 Providing strong creative and collaborative leadership for the University's


fiscal, operational, and administrative affairs in support of the mission
and goals of the school.
 Planning, directing, and coordinating the school’s annual operating and
capital fiscal plans; evaluating and advising on the financial and
operational impact of policy options; and providing expert advice along
with fiscal and operational policy recommendations to the President and
School leadership.
 Ensuring compliance with relevant institutional policies and procedures,
and federal, state and local regulations applicable to the financial,
operational, and administrative activities of the campus.
 Stewardship of the school’s financial strategy and models; identifying
and recommending opportunities to the School that will maintain or
improve funding streams; and leveraging the School’s available resources
for maximum impact.
 Developing a culture of excellence in which operations are effective and
efficient through continuous process evaluation and redesign, adoption
of new technology solutions, assessment of best practices, and
communication with internal and external constituencies.
 Cultivating positive working relationships across the School to promote a
culture of customer service, innovation, and quality services.
 Ensuring that campus activities are carried out in a safe and healthy
environment and that internal controls and procedures are appropriately
identified and implemented.
 Representing the School on internal and external committees, task
forces, and affiliated organizations.

4. Vice President for Research Extension and Development


The Vice President for Research Extension and Development
office, plans, organizes, controls and evaluates the activities and
projects of the office. It is responsible for assisting the President in
preparing a long range development plan of the institution and
coordinates the institutional research in all levels.
The Vice President for Research and Extension recommends to the
School President policies, strategies, guidelines, budgetary
allocations, etc. pertaining to research and development; directs the
planning implementation and monitoring of Research and
Development programs; collaborates with institutional linkages for
research and development.
The Vice President for Research and Extension plays a leadership
role in national and international activities regarding research policy
and guides the School in defining and meeting the emerging research
opportunities of the future. Important goals of the research agenda
include promotion of interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research;
integration of research and education at both the graduate and
undergraduate levels; promotion and facilitation of technology
transfer, business engagement and economic development;
affirmation of the integrity of research processes and policies;
stewardship of the special physical and computational infrastructure
necessary for research leadership; establishment of national and
international collaborative research partnerships at the School;
coordination of activities that promote participation of a broad range
of individuals in research, scholarly, or creative activity that
strengthen the School’s research enterprise; and oversight of research
faculty policy and implementation.

COLLEGE DEAN

An educational leader of the school and as the administrative head of the


College Department, the College Dean undertakes the delicate task, and being
the administrator, supervisor and animator. Attends to the demands of quality
education in line with the Vision-Mission and Thrust towards the creation of
atmosphere conducive to effective learning and community building.

 Established goals and objectives of the college in proper consultation
with all personnel concerned in accordance with the general school
objectives.
 Develops and evaluates the implementation policies of the department.

instructors.

PRINCIPAL
An educational leader of the school and as the administrative head of the
Basic Education, undertakes the delicate task, supervisor and animator.

and community building.

VICE PRINCIPAL’s (Academic, Student Services, Senior High School)


Vice principals, also known as assistant principals, help principals with
the overall administration of elementary, middle and high schools. Their job
duties may vary depending on the type and size of the school they work in, but
they usually are responsible for assisting the principal in managing the
teachers, communicating with parents, solving disciplinary problems, and
managing the school budget.

SUBJECT AREA COORDINATOR (SAC)


In the spirit of collegiality, subsidiary, teamwork and shared leadership.
The Subject Area Coordinator assists the Principal and Vice Principal for
Academics in the exercise of various tasks related to academic administration,
supervision and orientation.

COORDINATOR OF STUDENT ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES (CSAS)


The Coordinator of Student Activities and Services is responsible for
planning, organizing, controlling and evaluating the Student Activities in view
of integrating theory and practice, accomplishing the mission and
implementing the thrust of the institution.

PREFECT OF STUDENTS (POS)
The Prefect of Students assists the President/Principal and Vice
Principal’s in supervising discipline and conduct of students, investigates
absences and tardiness of students and implements disciplinary measures.
Submits periodic and year end reports of students and determines proper
decorum of student’s school activities.

CAMPUS MINISTER
The Campus Minister is responsible for religious, programs, formation
and activities of the institution under the Direction of the Vice President for
Religious Formation.

GUIDANCE COUSELOR
 Implement and oversee a high school guidance program that provides
students with a safe and non-judgmental way to voice their concerns or
worries
 Assist school administrators and educators with planning and carrying
out school-related programs and events
 Analyze student performance in the classroom to provide guidance and
identify potential problems
 Learn students’ names, career objectives and other details so you can
better serve them
 Help students develop academic plans in accordance with their skills,
talents and strengths
 Work collaboratively with the school nurse and other supportive staff
 Facilitate crisis intervention and prevention programs
 Communicate with teachers, parents and administrators on an ongoing
basis about behavioral and academic problems

SCHOOL REGISTRAR
A school registrar is an administrative professional who works for an
educational institution to assist students with enrollment and withdrawal of
classes. She maintains student records, test scores, works with school
counselors and handles other various administrative and clerical tasks as
needed. The level of expertise needed to be a registrar varies depending on
where she is employed.

IBED FACULTY/TEACHER
The duties and responsibilities of a Teacher shall include the following:
• To teach and educate students according to guidelines provided by the
School’s Curriculum Framework under the overall guidance of the competent
education authority;
• To teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities
and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care by
the Head of School or Head of Unit.

Main Responsibilities
• Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to all students in the class;
• Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the
individual students and groups of students;
• Adopting and working towards the implementation of the school development
plan of the particular school they are giving service in;
• Assigning work, correcting and marking work carried out by his/her
students; • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress,
attainment and behavior of one’s students;
• Providing or contributing to oral and written assessments, reports and
references relating to individual students or groups of students; • Participating
in arrangements within an agreed national framework for the appraisal of
students’ performance;
• Promoting the general progress and well-being of individual students, groups
of students or class entrusted to him/her;
• Providing guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters
and on their further education and future careers; providing information on
sources of more expert advice;

STAFF AND MAINTENANCE


Maintenance workers, also known as repair workers, fix and maintain
mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines. Tasks include plumbing
work, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs and heating and
air conditioning system maintenance.
Main Tasks
 Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
 Performing preventative maintenance.
 Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
 Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
 Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
 Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
