DESCRIPTION Naugalube® 15 is an ashless, sulfur-containing hindered phenol that can be used as a

primary or secondary antioxidant for lubricants formulated with mineral oils and
synthetic fluids. It offers well proven cost effective performance on its own or in
combination with the Naugalube® aminic antioxidants. It has superior thermal stability
over the conventional phenolic antioxidants such as BHT.

APPLICATION • Naugalube® 15 can be used in a broad range of lubricants, in both automotive and
industrial applications, particularly in engine oils, gear oils, and greases.
• Naugalube® 15 is recommended for use in high temperature operating conditions.
• Naugalube® 15 is approved under USFDA 21CFR178.3570 for blending in food
grade lubricants at levels not exceeding 0.5 percent by weight.
• Typical Treatment Rate: 0.1 – 1.0 wt.%.

STORAGE • Product is stable under normal storage conditions.

• Store away from any source of ignition, in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Keep
container tightly closed when not in use.
• Avoid iron contamination as with most phenolic antioxidants.

HANDLING Please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet prior to handling.
INFORMATION • Use appropriate personal protection equipment.
• Avoid eye, skin and clothing contact.
• Avoid breathing dust, repeated and prolonged contact and creating a dusting
situation.
