ACTIVITY COMPLETION REPORT (ACR)

PART 1
Title of Activity: 2019 National Reading Month
Date: November 27, 2019
Venue: Taltal Elementary School, Taltal, Masinloc, Zambales
Objectives: To motivate children in all ages to read everyday. Reading month
should spearhead for the learners to love reading and encourage children to
become more active readers.
Expected Number of Participants: 400
Actual Number of Participants: 328

PART 2
Introduction:
Reading is the foundation to a child’s future successes, and November
is Reading Month celebrates and promotes ways to help children discover
the joys of reading. It is important because it develops our thoughts, gives us
endless knowledge and lessons to read while keeping our minds active. The
importance of reading books and other reading materials to help us learn
and understand cannot be underestimated, not to mention the vocabulary
and thinking skills we develop.
This report is made in order to keep track of the development of
reading in Taltal Elementary School through participating in the various
reading activities.
Accomplishments:
In compliance with DepEd Memorandum No.158, s.2019, dated 4th of
November, 2019 from the Office of the Secretary, and pursuant to the
Republic Act No. 10556 as Araw ng Pagbasa which is a regular working
holiday, Taltal Elementary School participated in the conduct of the 2019
National Reading Month.
With the theme , “Magbasa’t Umunlad”, Taltal Elementary School as
learning center held suggested activities listed in Enclosure No.1 for
elementary learners. Among the suggested activities done includes the
“Mystery Reader” which is considered as a national kick-off activity.
Other activities done by the pupils led by their advisers are the Leaders
of Readers which is the adviser reads a book presented through PowerPoint
and LED TV for better reading and #Shareabook, which all learners were
encourage to bring and share their own story books for children.
Help a reader. Be a Volunteer was also done which the adviser invites
parents to help the non-readers and other learners with reading difficulties to
help him succeed in reading.
Other activities are held other than those on the list.
As observed, the national reading month culmination was successfully
done with the active involvement and undeniable interest and willingness of
each person concerned.
