Title: DTI inaugurates its Regional Office 12 Building

KORONADAL CITY, SOCCSKSARGEN – The Department of Trade and Industry

12 inaugurates its new office building located at the Prime Regional Center on
November 20, 2019 at 11:00 in the morning.

The guests headed by Sec. Ramon M. Lopez and other high-ranking Officials of
the Department of Trade and Industry, namely: Regional Operations Group
Undersecretary Blesila Lantayona, Assistant Secretary Demphna Du Naga
together with the Regional Directors from the different DTI Regional Offices
nationwide are welcomed by the DTI 12 Officials headed by Regional Director
Dorecita T. Delima and Provincial Directors as well as Officers-in-Charge of the
different DTI field offices in SOCCSKSARGEN.

During his speech, the Hon. Secretary said “All of these have been made possible
when the LGU Koronadal donated to DTI 12 this 1,364 sq. meter lot. Because of
such kind gesture, we are very much grateful.”

 The DTI team, cognizant of the contributions of the national government agencies,
congressional, provincial and local offices in the completion of the DTI 12 building,
gave some tokens of appreciation to its partners. It also recognized the other
entities who have served as its partners in the implementation of its various and
programs.

Also attending the event are media partners, representatives of the National
Government Agencies, private sector organizations and some officials of the
Provincial Government Office of South Cotabato as well as Local Government Unit
of Koronadal City.

Meanwhile, the new DTI XII Regional Office building has contributed to the 2017
Budget Priorities Framework and Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2015-2017
especially in pursuing good governance, essentially responding to the need of the
public for better access through government facilities and services.

Linked to the mandate of the agency of realizing the country’s goal of globally
competitive and innovative industry and services sector, through this new office
building, DTI 12 hopes to contribute to the inclusive growth and employment
generation, and goals of the department such as improving the country’s
competitiveness, generating employment and increasing level of awareness of
consumer rights and responsibilities through the performance of services under its
approved MFOs or major final outputs.

THE DTI REGIONAL OFFICE 12 BUILDING

The building has a total floor area of 1,595 square meters. It has three storeys
housing the following amenities:

GROUND FLOOR OF THE BUILDING:

 Lobby with reception area
 Meeting Room (to be used for small group meetings of 10 persons
maximum)
 Clinic with breastfeeding area
 Conference Room/AVR with pantry storage
 Display Center/Area
 Knowledge Management Library
 Allocation for Trade Development Division (TDD) for three (3) staff with
mediation room
 Allocation for Industry Development Division (IDD) for seven (7) staff
 Allocation for Institutional Development Division (InDD) for seven (7)
staff
 Employees ‘Pantry/Mess Hall
 Electrical Room
 Provision for three (3) Emergency Exits

The DPWH Region XII through Regional Director Basir M. Ibrahim, oversaw the
preparation of the structural design and technical supervision during construction
which started in January 2018 under the term of DTI Regional Director Ibrahim
K. Guiamadel and its full completion was undertaken by DTI Regional
