What is Executive Summary?
Executive summary is the summary of the report. It is the
precise version of the report so user can easily
understand what is in the report. Executive summary is
written before introduction

Executive summary of research paper:

Aims:
The use of social network among students in higher institutions
is becoming popular and widely celebrated amidst criticism.
This is because the social media changes the way people
communicate, investigate and socialize. The purpose of this
paper is to explore the students’ awareness and usage of social
networks.

Methods:
Mixed methods research was applied using survey
questionnaire and focus group discussions. 111 final year
diploma students of mass communication were purposively
selected. Statistical package for social sciences were used to
analyze the data.

Findings:
Quantitively findings reveal that majority of the respondents
(98.2%) is aware of social networks, have access to the internet
and regularly use mobile phones for social networking less than
half (37.8%) of them report and share news or information on
social media.

Result:
Qualitative results show that participants use social networks
purposely for academic purpose, self-expression, and
establishing a global friendship.
