uk 64 11 271 Replacing water valve for heater

Warning!
Danger of scalding!
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.

M67 only:
Remove clean air duct.
Remove acoustic cover.
Release screws (1) on mounts (2).
Lay vacuum line (3) in direction of arrow to one side and if
necessary secure with cable tie.
Open Velcro-type fastener (4) and pull out insulation (5) in
direction of arrow.

Remove cable ties (1).

Open Velcro-type fastener (2) in direction of arrow.
Pull out lines (3) in direction of arrow and if necessary secure
with cable tie.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release hose clamps (2) and detach water hose (3)
completely.

Issue status (01/2005) Valid only until next CD is issued Copyright Page - 1 -
 Pull water valve (1) in direction of arrow out of rubber mounts.
Release hose clamps (2) and detach water hoses.
Pull out water valve (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation:
Ensure guides (1) and (2) are correctly seated.
If necessary, replace rubber mount.

M60, M62 only:

Remove acoustic cover.
Water valve (Duo) with auxiliary water pump:

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Release hose clamps (2) and detach water hoses.
Pull water valve for heater (3) in direction of arrow out of rubber
mounts.

Installation:
Ensure guides (1) and (2) are correctly seated.
If necessary, replace rubber mount.

Water valve (Duo) without auxiliary water pump:

 Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release hose clamps (2) and detach water hoses.
Pull water valve for heater (3) in direction of arrow out of rubber
mounts.

Installation:
Ensure guides (1) and (2) are correctly seated.
If necessary, replace rubber mount.

Filling and bleeding the cooling system.
