ANNUAL REPORT (2014-2015)

The Department of Corporate Secretaryship functions with 7 faculties and 341 students.

ACTIVITIES IN THE ACADEMIC DOMAIN:

 Ms.W.Julice Sudhir, Ms.A.Vimal Devika, Ms.R.Suguna,Ms.N.Pradeepa, Ms.P.Suja,

Ms.Subha Vishwanathan attended a Two Day workshop on “Data Analysis and
Computer Applications in Business Decision Making” (7.3.15 & 8.3.15) organized
by School of Commerce, A.M.Jain College.

 Ms. W.Julice Sudhir, Ms. A.Vimal Devika & Ms.P.Suja are currently pursuing their
Ph.D. programme.

 Ms.N.Pradeepa, Asst. Prof. participated and presented a paper on”A study on work
life balance of employees in contemporary scenario at the National Seminar
organised by Department of Business Administration, A.M.Jain College. She also
directed and presented a documentary on “Value of a Woman “ during Women’s day
Celebration held at our college. She also won 1st place in Throw Ball competition.

 Ms.P.Suja attended a One Day workshop on “SPSS” organised by Vidhya Sagar

College. She also got 2 place in Lucky Corner Competition.

INAUGURATION OF CORPORATE ASSOCIATION:

 Mr.S.Alagappan, Entrepreneur, Palaniyappa Electronics, Chennai has inaugurated

the association “CORPORATE COMPASS”. Our eminent chief guest also delivered
a lecture on “You can be an Entrepreneur” on 3rd Sep. 2014.

EXTRA CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

Our students have actively participated and performed in extra co-curricular

activities. They have attended many camps of NCC & NSS and were actively involved in
various social service activities organised by the various wings of the college.

 R.Madhavan, III B.Com. (CS) won 3rd place in Drama-Play competition held at MCC,
Chennai. He also won 3rd place in Adzap and Sanskrit poetry and 1st place in Mime
(Drama) competition conducted in our college.

 S.V.Venkata Subramanian , III B.Com. (CS) won 2nd place in Turn Court, 1st place in
Adzap competition held in our college.

 V.B.Kishore Kumar, III B.Com. (CS) won 2nd place in potpourri competition held at
MCC, Chennai. He also won 2nd place in Adzap, 3rd place in Short film making, 1st
place in Siricha pochu, 1st place in Mimicry competitions held in our college.
  Vijay, Balavignesh, II B.Com. (CS) ‘A’ Sec. have won cash award for dance
performance during Pongal Celebrations held in our college.
 S.Gokul, I B.Com. (CS) ‘A’ Sec. won 2nd place in Dance competition held at SDNB
Vaishnava College, Chennai. He also won 3rd place in Adzap competition held at
Loyala College. Chennai.

 D.Bennison Joel, I B.Com. (CS) ‘A’ Sec. won 2nd place in running race (400 meters)
and 2nd place in 200 meters running race.

 K.Preethi, D.Gayathri, A.Dhivya, J.Vinoba M.Divya, R.Merlin Swetha, A.Banu,

M.Ambika II B.Com. (CS), C.Elakiya I B.Com. (CS) ‘A’ Sec. were the part of the
Team, which were winners in Cricket.

 Nagur Basha, I B.Com. (CS) ‘B’ Sec. won III place in collage competition.

 R.Dinakaran Joshi, I B.Com. (CS) ‘B’ Sec. won III place in college competition.

 Ayush Nayyar, I B.Com. (CS) ‘B’ Sec. won II Place in Hindi Essay
Writing competition.

 Charan Teja, II B.Com. (CS) ‘B’ Sec. won I place in Just a Minute (English)
competition.

 Balasubramanium, II B.Com. (CS) ‘A’ Sec.won 3rd place in Long Jump competition.

 P.Divya won 3rd place in 4*200 mtrs relay.

 P.Meena won 3rd place in both 4*100 mtrs & 4*200 mtrs relay.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF STUDENTS:

 Our III B.Com. CS students successfully completed their institutional training

program both in Government and Public sector companies like L & T, TNPL, TTK
Health Care, CPCL, MFL, Indian Tourism & Development Corporation.

 S.Suresh Krishna of Second year student presented a paper in an international

seminar on the topic Crowd sourcing held at Vidhya Sagar Women’s College,
Chengalpattu.

 V.B.Kishore Kumar, S.V.Venkata Subramanian, B.Keerthana and N.Madhuram got

selected in NICE.

 B.Keerthana got selected in TCS.

 The Pass Percentage of out gone students is (2013-14) is 45%
