-- This is a class A product. In a domestic environment this product may cause radio interference in which
case the user may be required to take adequate measures.
-- Always adopt a safe posture. Use for this the applying rules.
-- A readily accessible disconnect device must be incorporated in the building installation wiring.
-- The pricepole and the display system must be connected to a main protective earthing terminal.
-- Always switch off mains prior to installation or maintenance. This means the system must be physically
separated from the mains. Secure the switch with a lock or other suitable means.
-- Make sure the correct wiring is used for the connection of the display system.
Most commonly this will be 1,5 mm2 in combination with a 10A fuse.
Make sure the correct fuse is always used for the applied wiring.
-- Never connect a PC directly to a configuration port. Always use the HC02 interface for connecting
the PC to a configuration port.
-- Make sure that any circuitry connected to the sign controller (the light switch port in particular),
meet the requirements of the IEC 60950-1 international standard.
-- Never connect cable ties to the housing of the power supply. Instead use the cable tie rail which is located at the
bottom of the sign controller housing.
-- All Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) supplied by Bever Innovations B.V. must be handled as ESD sensitive
devices. For more information on this subject, please visit http://support.beverinnovations.com and
download the “ESD precautions for handling spare parts” manual.
-- Do not power up the system immediatly after transport from a cold to a warm place or vice versa, or under
conditions of extreme humidity. Wait until all humidity is gone from the system components, before powering up the
system.
-- Take care of the environment while working with products of Bever Innovations, by separation of waste.
-- Bever Innovations cannot be held responsible in any way for injury to people or damage to the system.

-- Check if the switch located on the of the power supply is set to the
correct voltage (115 or 230 Volt).
To prevent the system from overheating and corrosion, decent ventilation must be present. Consult the
product specifications for more information on operating temperatures. These operating temperatures may
never be exceeded. To measure the current system temperature, please refer to the ‘I-config User manual’
or the ‘I-Control testmode manual‘. These can be found on http://support.beverinnovations.com

IMPORTANT:
-- Make sure no burrs enter the displays.
-- The fan in- and outlets should be inspected every year for 1
proper functioning and polution. (Only for closed housing
displays)
-- Do not cover the back of the displays. Make sure air can flow
freely along the back of the displays.

Sign Controller
To make sure the product cables are connected in the correct order, all product cables need to be marked.
This can be done with a label writer or hand-writable labels.
The text on the labels must consist of two numbers separated by a dot.
The first number indicates on which side the display is positioned. (logically this can only be side 1 or 2).
The second number indicates the product number of the display. The top display is indicated as “1”, the next
display as “2” etc.
See page 15 for the position of the labels.

• The I-C or IC-U is connected to the Sign Controller using a three wire connection
• The data cable must be a twisted-pair (2 x 2 x 0,25mm2) cable.
• Always make sure wire ferrules are applied to the data cable.
1. Feed the data cable through the right cable gland which is SHOP

-- Use the I-Control to set prices in all displays. (see the ‘I-Control User Manual’)
-- When prices are set, restart the system and check if the prices are shown after power up.
-- If the prices are not shown after power up, please check if the system is in USER mode. (see the
‘I-Control user manual’)
USER: The display system ignores the price updates from the POS. Only manually entered
prices are displayed.
-- First make sure the I-C (or IC-U) is properly connected to the POS (see the ‘POS connection Installation
Manual’) and that the POS has properly activated the Price Pole Interface.
-- When powered up, the display system should automatically display the received prices.
-- If the POS prices are not shown after power up, please use the IC-U and I-Control and check if the
systems are in AUTO mode. (see the ‘I-Control User Manual’ and / or ‘IC-U User Manual’)
AUTO: Manually entered prices are overwritten, when the POS sends prices to the displays.
(POS = Price Operating System).
Do not power up the system immediately after transport from a cold to a warm place or vice versa,
or under conditions of extreme humidity. Wait until all humidity is gone from the system components,
before powering up the system.
-- Provide (when needed) the desired information about the important aspects of the system.
