If you want to change the password for opening the PDF document, you have to enter the (old) password as mentioned above. Additionally you have to set
the new password by clicking on 'Protection' below the file selection. There you can enter the new password by enabling the field called 'Create password for
opening'.

Define header/footer
You can define a header and footer for your resulting PDF file. These are displayed on the top/bottom of each PDF page. In addition to your own text, you
can use a page numbering with placeholders for the page number. By clicking on a text field, a template box is displayed. The placeholders are replaced by
the according page number when converting the file to PDF.

Compress PDF files and reduce the file size

Quality and resolution of images and graphics
If you would like to reduce the PDF file size or compress your PDF file, then you can reduce the quality and resolution values at the preferences called
"Compression". These settings affect the compression of all images.

Color or black-and-white?
Furthermore, you can choose between color and black-and-white, where the latter reduces the file size additionally.

Set or customize the PDF page layout

Multiple pages on one single PDF page:
If you would like to have multiple pages on a PDF page, then you can set this option at the preferences called "Layout". This way you can set up to 9 pages
for a PDF page. This makes sense with presentation slides for example.
You can also set the page size, orientation and the inner and outer margin.

Note: When you are converting only image files, the "Layout" settings are not available because image files have advanced settings at the tab called Image-
to-PDF! There you can find the appropriate settings for the number of images per page.

Customize the layout of already existing documents:

Additonally, you can change the layout of existing documents, for example from A3 to A4. You can set the page margin, orientation, page size and the
content size according to your needs.
Just select "Custom layout" for the "PDF page layout" dropdown option. Afterwards you will get more options regarding the customized layout.
