WEATHERFORD MCCULLOUGH
ROTARY RELEASING OVERSHOT
The McCullough Rotary Releasing Overshot is strongly
built and of simple construction. It will withstand the
shocks and strains of severe jarring without damage to
the tool. It is designed so that the slips completely
encircle the pipe or fish to be recovered with a firm,
secure grip. This tight, uniform grip around the entire
circumference of the fish prevents collapse or
bottlenecking.
This tool is designed to accommodate pack-off rubbers,
extensions, wall hooks and over-size guide shoes, as
desired. The tripping mechanism will permit the tool to
be alternately set on, or released from the fish as many
times as is necessary, without removing the overshot
from the hole. The bore through the tool is of sufficient
diameter to allow cutters, shots, or other tools to be run
through the overshot and into the fish.

OPERATION
To operate the McCullough Overshot to engage the
fish, a quarter of a turn to the left is all that is necessary
to cause the slips to engage the pipe. Upon upward
movement of the overshot, the slips grip the pipe firmly
and securely. Positive release is accomplished by
setting weight down to free the slips from the fish. A
quarter of a turn to the right locks the skips in released
position and allows the overshot to be removed from
the hole.
The McCullough Rotary Releasing Overshot is made of
selected materials with precision workmanship. It is
rugged, dependable and easy to operate.
