Project: Effective Flood Control Management system

Rationale:
Floods are one of the most damaging natural threat, causing massive damage to human life, infrastructure,
agriculture, and the socioeconomic system. Society continues to develop reliable and accurate maps of flood
risk areas and further plan for sustainable flood risk management focusing on prevention, protection, and
preparedness. Natural flood reduction measures can be seen in full viewpoint in particular, it plays
advantageous hydrological, ecological, and socioeconomic roles. Hence, they are useful in global change
adaptation strategies. Since uncertainty in assessment of impacts of global change is high, a high degree of
flexibility of adaptation strategies are important and advantageous.
General Objective: To identify measures in sustained set of actions that improve society’s capacity to anticipate, mitigate,
withstand, and recover from flood.
