RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Inspection of piping and Cross country pipelines, flow lines, trunk lines, heavy building
structures, refinery pipe racks / floors / packages, platforms, PEB structures, radar towers
and others.
 Utilizing various welding techniques of processes such as GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and
SAW at CS, SS, DSS/SDSS, LTCS, LAS, Inconel, Monel materials and GRE / HDPE
pipelines.

 Review and follow the Project Quality Control Plan and Scope of work.

 Prepare, review and approval of Procedures like PQR, WPS, ITP, MS etc. as per relevant codes
and standards.

 Lead and guiding the QC personals as per project requirements and codes.

 Conducting quality tool box meeting for all welders and construction staffs.

 Day to day planning and co-ordination of QA/QC activities with QA/QC & project managers.

 Maintaining the updated calibration records for all tools and machines.

 Verify the correct shop drawings with design references and recording the revisions in site.
 Submitting the inspection requests to the client or TPI for various check points inspections in
accordance with the approved inspection test plan (ITP).

 Contacting Material receiving Inspection of Raw Materials [base metal, welding consumables]
and various inspection tools correlated with test certificate.

 Raw material inspection as per LPO, MTC and NDT also confirm the proper storage location.
 Perform the welding activities as per drawing, required specification, standards and codes.
 Monitor the weather condition, welding, fittings of valves & gaskets, and other contract
requirements.
 Responsible for all welding activities such as joint preparation, joint fit-up, Preheat, PWHT etc.

 Checking of welding parameters, volts, amperes, speed and heat input against approved WPS.

 Prepare detailed records and reports at all inspections conducted at the site; maintain the proper
quality control documentations at site.

 Preparing the weekly weld repair rate and weekly and cumulative weld status reports.

 Contacting the Ndt (RT), Hardness test and PMI as per scope of work and contract.

 Coordinate with NDT personnel for records and quick repair activities on defects.

 Interpret the RT film, monitor and witness of pre & post heat treatment and stress relief.
 Contacting the immediate repair activities, and selecting penalties for RT as per procedures.

 Prepare and issue of NCR and PCAR or proactive Reporting to construction department.

 Verifying the reinforcement pad leak test and Test package identification, review and
verification as per P&ID.

 Line checking and preparation of pre punch lists.

 Carried out all necessary inspection prior to commencement of any pressure test.

 Witnessing the pressure testing activities as per approved procedure.

 Supervision of reinstatement activities and ensure the punch completion.

 Coordination with final walk through and handing over of individual systems.

 Ensure progress of shop floor activities with correct contract parameters.

 Prepare FCL, weld map history, GCL, MTR, NDT reports and paint inspection report.
 Prepare ITP, Method statements and Final QC dossiers as per client requirements.
 Support to the erection and prepare the erection procedure to convey to erector.
