FAA: Compliant to AC150/5345-46 (current edition), for mounting of
elevated lights, except L-804 runway guard light.

Uses
The T300/3 base plate is used for the mounting of an elevated light on a FAA
L-867 deep base, or on a concrete block, either directly or by means of a
breakable coupling.
The following applications need a different base plate:
• Runway guard lights,
• Holding position lights,
• Taxiway guidance signs,
• Electronic cabinets for flashing lights.

Features
• Fully corrosion-proof due to the use of synthetic material.
• Durable yellow colour, thanks to the special UV improvement of the resin.
• Design based on Finite Elements Analysis, ensuring a mechanical resistance
(load and flexion) at least equal to traditional steel plates.
• Low weight (0.9 kg).
• Easy removal of the elevated lights, even years after installation;
the 2” thread will never be locked by corrosion.
• Three aluminium lugs ensure an electrical connection with the thread of the
elevated light, allowing earthing of the light.

Mechanical characteristics
• Fits a L-867B FAA deep base.
• Accepts all ADB elevated lights and couplings of 2 inch diameter.
• Tested for UV resistance.
• Tested in excess of FAA AC150/5345-46B requirements for bending
moment (jet blast): 1.300 Nm.
• Tested in excess of FAA AC150/5345-46B requirements for distributed
vertical load: 11.340 N.
• Tested in excess of FAA AC150/5346 (current edition) at wind speeds
of 482 km/h (300 mph).
• Resists A380 jet blast with BPE fitting mounted on top, on 45m wide runway.

The base plate shall be fully compliant to FAA AC150-5345/46 (current
edition) requirements. The material shall be non-metallic to avoid corrosion. Ø 260

It shall be adequately designed to withstand UV as well as the usual SQ.550 mm

chemical agents present on airfields.

The base plate shall have a 2” 11 TPI female thread to receive the light,
and six holes allowing installation on a FAA L-867 12” deep base. It shall
incorporate aluminium lugs ensuring an efficient earthing of the light.
A synthetic flat gasket shall be provided for water tightness.
