I am writing this letter to recommend Aneli Godinez-Martinez to your fine institution of 
higher learning. Aneli has been a student of mine in US History and Advisory class. I have 
known her for a year and a half. 
 
Ms. Godinez-Martinez is enthusiastic everyday and has a great attitude towards myself as the 
teacher and her colleagues in class. She goes above and beyond to be helpful to both of us 
as well. I really enjoy the banter back and forth during a classroom discussion about any 
historical topic. If Aneli has an opinion or a question she is very thoughtful about giving it 
or asking it. If she disagrees, she will do so in a well reasoned manner and respectfully. 
 
Additionally she is a captain on the Varsity volleyball team. Her teammates look up to her 
leadership and accomplishments on the court and her coaches can rely on her. 
 
In my opinion independently driven students tend to achieve the greatest success in college 
since there tends to be more freedom than most have had in their lives to this point and that 
is another reason why I think Aneli can be successful at your University. She is self driven. 
She will be a pillar of academic success.
