An old quote “Knowledge is power” aptly describes that learning has a beginning but no end.

My belief
in this adage has perpetually inspired me to find real-world applications of the immense information
that I have accumulated over these years.

As a product design engineer in EDAG Production solutions, I came across an opportunity to lead a
project for Daimler Vehicles. The project dealt with the design and development of Body in White tool
line of a Daimler vehicle. An excellent opportunity to explore my skills from a business perspective, I was
authorized to provide cost-efficient design and effectively manage a team of 12-15 young engineers.
Executing this project, I collaborated with my team, accepted feedbacks and provided updated training.
Meanwhile, I monitored team productivity and optimized procedures to reduce time consumption and
effectively control operating cost budgets. I was responsible for handling both customer relations and
vendor requirements, which were outsourced for small sections of the project. These comprehensive
sets of actions catalyzed my vision for a transition into the business domain and escalate my career. The
overwhelming satisfaction I derived in improving the business process was far greater than my passion
for product design. This effectuated my interest in management, paving my way towards a holistic
learning through an MBA program.

Furthermore, impassioned and intellectually stimulated to solve complex business problems led me to
take initiative to reduce the team's workloads and streamline the processes. This performance earned
several accolades and additional leadership responsibilities at this nascent stage of my career.

My short term goal is to work as a Business Analyst in a reputed firm and explicitly learn the various
business-oriented challenges faced by enterprises. In the long-run, I aspire to elevate to senior strategic
management roles that would help to define the process by which an organization would manage its
resources through planning, monitoring, and analysis.

The predominant reasons for my desire to study MBA at John Molson are its international repute,
distinguished faculties, experiential pedagogy, alumni network and stellar reputation that John Molson
enjoys amongst corporate recruiters. Learning with accomplished peers will give me the confidence to
work in the competitive environment of a corporate firm. Further ,John Molson’s small and collaborative
class would allow for strong bonding with the peers and alumni that may further expand my knowledge
base. I believe that the practical approach that JMSB emphasis on its MBA program would provide me
with the insight into strategic management. I look forward to be an active participant in various business
case projects and experiential learning options that JMSB provides. I wish to be a stakeholder in JMSB’s
Case competition committee and the Concordia Small Business consulting Bureau. In short, JMSB has
the proven expertise to groom me in a holistic manner , to give the competitive advantage that , given
JMSB’s many offerings , is akin to standing on the shoulders of a giant.

I believe Leadership is a virtue of the bold and lion-hearted. It is the art of transforming vision into
reality. Throughout my professional and scholastic experiences, I have had innumerable opportunities to
explore my leadership potential and churn out the best version of myself. The best moments have been
those where I was entrusted and authorized with monumental responsibilities as I successfully
confronted myriad challenges. Resolving unprecedented issues infused me with astute professional
maturity and management skills. I believe this ensures a solid foundation for my supervisory and
visionary aptitude.

Right from the school days, I have assumed leadership roles that helped me carve out a mettlesome
demeanor and innovative spirit. From being the school's house representative to the event manager, I
have traversed through various disciplines and subtleties required to bring consensus, inspire people to
leverage their skills correctly. Back in college, I was specially asked to coordinate various national events
that involved a large number of participants from different backgrounds. Under my leadership, I
successfully completed two national seminars and one inter-college competition.

Setting afoot in professional arena, I continued with verve and vigor. Among the 20 engineers who
joined my firm as interns, I was the only one assigned with the responsibility of managing a team of 5-6
engineers within one year. I also supervised teams in different projects for diverse Automobile MNC’s.
This early exposure and multi-functional team experience paved my way to clinch the position of
Assistant Manager.

Furthermore, in addition to these achievements, I have discharged my duties as a righteous global

citizen by contributing extensively towards social welfare and community development. I was the key
idea generator and the head coordinator of ' Snehanidhi', an activity where we provided food for the
underprivileged. Besides, I initiated programs to provide teaching assistance to economically backward
students. I believe a holistic perspective of leading by example will help me emerge as a staunch leader
at John Molson School of Business.
