LETTER OF INDEMNITY

– for boarding a BBC vessel –

given by BBC Chartering GmbH as Carrier or as Agents to other Carriers, and/or

BBC’s appointed Agent _________________________

The undersigned herewith acknowledge to have read and understood the HSEQ Directives “Minimum HSEQ
Standards” and “Boarding Instructions” and that he/she will comply with these and any other instructions
given by ship’s command/crew during the visit onboard and in the immediate vicinity of the vessel where
operational activities are carried out.
Failure to do so, the undersigned confirms to fully indemnify and hold BBC and the Master and/or Crew
and/or Carrier and/or Operator and/or Owner and/or Technical Managers and/or Commercial Managers of
the vessel harmless and waive all claims or causes of action resulting from non-compliance with the HSEQ
Directives, irrespective of claimants origin, including third party.
Further, the undersigned agrees that they are entering the vessel and/or cargo operation zone at their own
risk for the sole purpose of observing or surveying the vessel’s loading, discharging or other operations
concerning the above referenced cargo/project. Accordingly, the undersigned agrees to hold the Owners,
BBC, the Carrier, the vessel, the crew and stevedores harmless for any damage or injury sustained and that
this hold harmless will extend to the undersigned’ employers, relatives and relevant insurance companies.
The undersigned agrees to not take any photos, film and/or video shots on board the vessel, except for
relevant cargoes or in case of cargo-, vessel- and/or other inspections, as necessary.
With respect to any safety equipment purchased and/or supplied by the Carrier, the Owners, the Crew
and/or the Vessel (collectively “Vessel interests”) at the request of Merchants, Receivers, Shippers and/or
consignees, and their agents (collectively “Cargo interests”), Vessel interests shall be acting as purchasing
agent only and make no warranty regarding the fitness of such equipment and shall have no liability
whatsoever in the event that such equipment fails or is compromised in any way. Cargo interests agree to
hold Vessel interest harmless and to indemnify them with respect to the use of said equipment.”
