13. A structural steel rod has a radius of 10m and a length of 1m. A 100 KN force F
stretches it along its length. Calculate (a) Stress (b) elongation (c) strain on rod where
y=2.0x1011 N/m2.
14. Consider the simple pendulum having a bob attached to a string that oscillates under the
action of a force gravity. Suppose that the period of oscillation of simple pendulum depends
on its length (l) , mass of the bob (m) and acceleration due to gravity (g). Drive the
expression for its time period using the method of dimensions.
15.Drive the relation when the refraction of the ray travel from denser medium to rarer
