At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
a.define the unfamiliar words used in the text
b. identify the characters in the story
c. develop a graphic organizer showing the relationship between the
characters
The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American
literature and other text types serve as means of enhancing the self;
also how to use processing, assessing, summarizing information, word
derivation and formation strategies, appropriate word order,
punctuation marks and interjections to enable him/her to participate
actively in a speech choir.
The learner actively participates in a speech choir through using
effective verbal and non-verbal strategies based on the following
criteria: Focus, Voice, Delivery, Facial Expressions, Body Movements/
Gestures and Audience Contact.

man?
The teacher will explain the relevance of the motivation with the lesson.
The students will be asked if they believe in Destiny. Yes or No and Why.
Define the unfamiliar words by matching the words with their correct
meaning.
Read the introduction of the story “The Day of Destiny”
Identify the characters in the story and their characteristics. Identify
also if each character is a protagonist or an antagonist.
To whom can you compare the characters in real life? What
distinguishing characteristics make them comparable to a character in
real life.
