Dear Friends,
On June 8, Aaron, Kristen, and I left Hungary to go to the
States. While we were there we were able to be present
for the birth of David Marat, grandchild #18 and son of Robin and Marat Kurbanov. We
thank the Lord for the blessing of getting to be there for this event and help a bit before and
after the birth.

Aaron is now a freshman in the music department of

Kentucky Christian University. The Lord has blessed us with a
place for him to stay off campus (at my mom's home) and a
tuition-free first year!! My mom is almost completely recovered from her two-month
stay in the hospital following surgery for a ruptured appendix. I am always blessed to
spend time with her. She is a prayer warrior for us, and has always been my example
of a godly woman, wife, and mother. I am blessed beyond words that Aaron not only
has a place to stay but is able to have time with this very special grandmother. In
Aaron's 18 years, he has only been in the States for brief periods of time. Please pray
for him, and for me, as I miss him very much!

While in the States, we were also able to share at a women's retreat in Indianapolis (Horizon Christian Fellowship) and a
women's evening at the Calvary Chapel in Leo, IN.

From the States, Kristen and I traveled to Ternopil, Ukraine. Just minutes after
our arrival at the airport in Kyiv on August 7 we received the announcement that
George William, grandbaby #19 and son of Jonathan and Stephanie Markey
had just made his appearance in the world. He was the first grandbaby not to
wait for the arrival of his grandma on site. He already is
displaying one of the characteristics of his grandpa
George, ie., "Why wait around when there is so much
to be done?" It is always a special time in Ukraine, both
with family and with dear friends in the church there.

George, Sharon, Samuel, and Kiyoshi Markey from Ukraine joined Kristen and me, and we all
traveled to the annual Calvary Chapel Missions Conference in Austria where I was able to
share in some of the women's sessions. We had a wonderful time of refreshing and fellowship
there. After the conference, we took one another quick trip back to Ukraine and then finally
returned to Vajta, Hungary.

The semester has begun at the Bible College. There are

fourteen students in the Missions Training Program (MTP),
and eleven of them are new! At this time, all of them have
plans to go somewhere on the mission field. What an
exciting group! I am also privileged again to be teaching and
spending time with three young ladies in the internship
program.
FFuuttuurree ppllaannss::

• September 21-October 5 we will be in Ukraine to speak at the Calvary

Chapel Kyiv church retreat, an outreach tea for elderly women, and
some other church meetings. Hopefully we will make it for the birth of
George and Sharon Markey's third child (grandbaby #20) due September
24.

• After this trip to Ukraine, we will be in Vajta until the end of the
semester.

• From mid December thru the 3rd week of January we plan to go to the States for the winter break.. I would be
happy to share or get together with you while I am in the States, so please email or call me if you would like to
schedule a time.

PPrraayy FFoorr::
1. For the new class of MTP students, that the Lord would prepare them to go, that He would burden hearts and
give direction to these young women and men, and that they would be used even as they are here to go out and
reach the lost.
2. For a fruitful time of ministering and mentoring the intern girls and any others with whom the Lord would have
me share.
3. That the Holy Spirit would speak through me to the students, that His Word would be the center of each class.
Please join me in making Deuteronomy 32:2-3 a prayer, as I desire to share His Word in all the places I find
myself.
4. For Aaron- that he would grow in the Lord, be kept from the evil one, focus on his studies, and be a witness and
a blessing where he is.
5. For Kristen and me as we start a new home school year with a new curriculum.
6. For an increase in Kristen's academic abilities, especially in reading and math.
7. That Kristen's heart would be open to hear and understand the things of the Lord.
8. That I would hear His voice and know what the next step is for our lives and have the boldness to step out
wherever that may be.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer.

By His grace,
Pam Markey
