INTRODUCTION

Human resource is considered to be the most valuable asset in any organization.


It is the sum total of inherent abilities acquired knowledge and skills represented
by the talents and aptitudes of the employed person who comprise executives,
supervisors and the rank and file employees. It may be noted here that the
human resource should be utilized to the maximum possible extend in order to
achieve individual and organizational goals. However, the employee
performance is to large extend influenced by motivation and job satisfaction.

Job satisfaction is the favourableness or un-favourableness with which


employee view their work. In order to undertake job satisfaction, perhaps the
first step should be demarcate the boundaries among such term and attitude,
motivation and moral. A job is an important part of life. Job satisfaction is ones
general satisfaction. The result is that satisfactions arise from the complex set of
circumstances in the same way the motivation does.

The term “Job satisfaction” relates to the total relationship between an


individual and the employer for which he is paid. Satisfaction does mean the
simple feeling state accompanying the attainment by an impulse of its
objectives. Job dissatisfaction does means the absence of motivation at work
research worker’s differently described the factors contributing of job
satisfaction and job dissatisfaction.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

 To find out the level of job satisfaction of employees regarding the


policies and practices used in Jayabharath Modern Rice Mill.
 To identify the various methods applied to improve the job satisfaction of
the Jayabharath Modern rice Mill.
 To identify the various methods applied to improve the job satisfaction of
the Jayabharath Modern Rice Mill.
 To identify the factors influencing the job satisfaction
 To suggest and recommend suitable measures to improve the overall
satisfaction of the employees in the organization.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

RESEARCH DESIGN

The research design is used for this study is descriptive and analytical in nature.

POPULATION

Population comprises about 105 employees of Jayabharath Rice Mill.

SAMPLE SIZE

The entire population is taken for the study.

SAMPLING METHOD

The sampling method adopted by research is Random sampling method.


Random sampling is a part of the sampling technique in which each sample has
an equal probability of being chosen.

PERIOD OF THE STUDY

The study was conducted for a period of 21 days from October 1 to December
31.

TOOLS USED FOR DATA ANALYSIS

The tools used for analysing data are both management tools and statistical tools
such as percentage, bar diagrams and pie-Charts.
SCOPE OF THE STUDY

 Job satisfaction is an important output that employees work for


organization.
 It comprises of extrinsic and intrinsic factors and helps maintain an able
and willing workforce.
 It is an interesting and significant area for conducting research.
 The study made on the topic of job satisfaction will reveal the factor’s of
feeling of employees.
 This report is useful to the management of the company to know the
satisfaction level of employees and they can take measure to increase
productivity.
LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

 There is difficulty in collecting data as the size of the population is 105.


 Time factor was the major constraint for the study.

The reliability of the study is restricted to the data provided by the respondents
