The method of data collecting we used was observation. We observed that there were two
different crops planted, lettuce and patchoi. There were two beds planted with lettuce, one bed
with manure and the other with fertilizer and the same for the other crop which is patchoi. The
crops were planted for at least one month. After the month there were harvested.

RESULTS
FERTILIZER

Bed A Big Small Quality Total

Lettuce 4 11 Good 15
Patchoi 6 5 Good 11

NO FERTILIZER

Bed B Big Small Quality Total

Lettuce 0 7 Medium 7
Patchoi 5 9 Medium 14

DISCUSSION
My group and I interpret that there was 15 Lettuce and 11 Patchoi planted with fertilizer and
7 Lettuce and 14 Patchoi planted with no fertilizer. There were watered once daily and left
planted for a month. When harvested there were 4 big and 11 small Lettuce and 6 big and 5
small Patchoi planted with fertilizer on bed A. There were 7 small Lettuce and 5 big and 9
small Patchoi planted with no fertilizer on bed B. Bed A had good quality of Lettuce and
Patchoi in terms of the leaves (the leaves was soft) because of the fertilizer. Bed B had poor
quality Lettuce and Patchoi in terms of the leaves (the leaves was hard) because there were no
fertilizers used. From the beds A and B large and small crops (Lettuce and Patchoi) was
produce. From the results above it can been seen that bed A had 4 big Lettuce and bed B had
none, bed A had 11 small lettuce and bed B had 7 small lettuce. From the Patchoi in bed A
there was 6 big Patchoi and bed B had 5 big Patchoi, bed A had 5 small Patchoi and bed B
had 9 small Patchoi.
