from the mass of the inflated balloon?
2. Which is heavier, the inflated or the deflated
balloon?

Group 2
1. What happens to the volume reading of the water-oil
Mixture when air is introduced to it?
2. What does it indicate?

Group 3

Among the three set- ups?
2. Explain the difference in the temperature of air

Group 4
1. What happens to the shape of the balloon?
2. What causes the balloon to change its shape and
size?

ELABORATE (15 minutes)

1. The teacher will process the data presented by the Manila paper and pen
students
2. During class interaction the learners and the teacher will
discuss their observation on gases.
Concepts
 Gases have different properties.
 Gases also have mass, volume, temperature and
pressure
 Volume is the amount of space occupied by gases
 Temperature is the measure of the coldness or
hotness of the gas.
 Pressure is the force applied by the gas particles
per unit area

EVALUATE (10 minutes)

The teacher will provide a question: Paper
1. From your daily experiences, can you Pen
enumerate instances were these properties
are shown?
