I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the learners shall be able to conduct self-exploration and simple disclosure.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: Personal Effectiveness
Area: Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track

Materials: Marker, manila paper, chalk, board

III. PROCEDURES

DAILY ROUTINE
Proper Greetings
Prayer
Checking of attendance
Observance of cleanliness in the room

A. ACTIVITY
The class shall read the poem entitled “I’m Special.”

B. ANALYSIS
Discussion questions:
1. What do you think are special according to the poem?
2. What are your talents, skills and experiences?
3. What experiences brought you in the discovery of your talents?
4. Which talent or skills have become your habits?
5. What experience has made you become a better person?
6. What skills will increase your efficiency in performing your talents?

C. ABSTRACTION
From the discussion questions, the teacher will present the topic on personal effectiveness. The class will provide
more information about the importance of talents, skills and abilities in personal effectiveness.

D. APPLICATION

I’m PROUD!
The teacher will write on the board the phrase “I’m proud because I can…” Each student shall place his/her name
under any talents/skills which they possess. The class shall prepare for the assessment activity.

IV. EVALUATION
Show Me! Teach Me!
The students will be grouped according to the talents/skills that they have. The group shall teach the class in at least three
minutes how to perform their talents. The following rubrics will be used in grading the activity:
originality (4 points) creativity/resourcefulness (4 points)
teamwork (4 points) audience impact (4 points)
V. ASSIGNMENT:

The students will be asked to read about the behavioural approach to management.
