Jovita Fuentes (1895-1978) As a chamber musician, he has performed at the Shenandoah Bach Festival in Harrisonburg, VA, Staunton Music Festival and the Chopin Symposium in Weston, MA. He has worked for numerous opera productions including La bohème by When I have sung my songs Ernest Charles Puccini, Così fan tutte by Mozart, and Cendrillon by Massenet. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of the Philippines, Masters in Piano (1895-1984) Performance from Temple University, Masters in Piano Pedagogy from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance, Pedagogy This concert is generously underwritten by and Literature from James Madison University. He coordinated the piano area at Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art Eastern Mennonite University and taught piano, music history and music appreciation classes there. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Music and Director of the Center for Heritage and Indigenous Cultures under the Office of Research & Global Relations at the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City.
