Server and storage device configuration strategies
Overall strategies:
The enhanced communications suite (ECS) software is not bundled with hardware servers and or
storage devices for sales. It is recommended that the ECS software be used with Huawei, IBM, or
HP servers.
2. If customers choose Huawei servers, RH2285 servers are used by default. Huawei is not responsible
for preinstalling the operating system or database on the server. The service provider or agent is
responsible for installing the operating system and database onsite.
If customers want to use Huawei high-end servers, servers such as RH2288, E6000, and E9000 can
be selected based on the quotation of the IT product line. (At present, E6000 can still be configured on
the UC side.)
3. If customers want to use their own servers, Huawei must pose specific requirements on the servers,
including server performance requirements and version requirements on the operating system and
database software. Customers, not Huawei, are responsible for purchasing and installing the operating
system and database software.
5
