It is no coincidence that crystals popularity is
exploding along with the raise of the global move-
ment in holistic living and mindfulness. I believe
that crystals play an important part of human evolu-
tion, and they take the role as one of our allies to
help balance our energy and raise our vibrations.
Still when I told people that I’m into crystal healing,
a lot of them said “Really ? Does it actually work ?”
or in my case I get a lot of “Is it some kind of stone
worshipping ? Isn’t it forbidden ?”.
When I told people that I’m into

I understand why people asked such questions. I
was born and live in Indonesia, brought up in a
Moslem family and surrounded by the eclectic mix
of belief. Although Indonesian traditional belief
system has been profoundly assimilated with main-
stream religion, beneath the thin practice of those
mainstream religion, very strong and ancient belief
of animism, ancestor worship and shamanism run
deep through the people of this country. With the
long history of ancient cultures, many energetical
tools including crystals has been long associated
with shamanism and black magic practice.
To be honest, I had my doubts when I first started
working with crystals. But I knew my intuition didn’t
brought me there for nothing. So I follow my intui-
tion and searched for the answers to those ques-
tions.

In 2011 when I was working part time as a graphic
designer, some friends asked me to help build their
holistic aromatherapy clinic. In the process I did some
research to learn about holistic healing. I got hooked
up every time I got bumped into crystal related
topics, and how crystal healing has become part of
holistic healing modalities despite the debate among
scientific community on whether crystal actually have
any healing power at all.
I felt the crystal energy pulsated in my palm,
radiating its energy. It was a calming energy,
very subtle, hard to explain but it was real.
The calling was getting too loud and a few months
later I decided to follow my intuition. I went to this
specialty crystal shop and on the shelves they have
three pieces of what I can see as natural clear quartz
points. I picked one from the shelf and held it in my
hand. I instantly felt the crystal energy pulsated in my
palm, radiating its energy. It was a calming energy,
very subtle, hard to explain but it was real. I could
even still feel the energy even after I put it down. I
didn’t anticipate to have any reaction at all, and it was
a sensation I’ve never experienced before.
That was how my crystal healing journey began.

Crystals that people get from digging the earth are
really - really - really old. They are million or even
billion years old. Do you know that 160 km beneath
earth’s surface, around 1 - 3 billion years ago, high
pressure and temperature have converted graphite to
diamonds? Yes, the diamonds men give to their
woman as a symbol of eternal love, they are billion
years older than us. You’ve got to appreciate them for
that. They’re already here before any living things
lived on earth.

Crystals grow slowly in extreme conditions deep in the
earth. The type of crystals formed depends on the
elements involved and the specific conditions - space,
temperature, pressure, cooling- at the time they were
made. They were left uninterrupted for millions of years,
giving time for crystal molecules to bond in spirals,
forming a precise, repeating latticework of molecules
and grew into bigger crystal.

Cooked and kept for millions of years inside mother
earth’s, crystals carry earth vibrational frequency within
them. Being connected to crystal energy opens the
connection to mother earth, enables us to get in tune
with earth vibrations.
CRYSTALS IN MODERN TECHNOLOGY
Crystals are being widely used in jewelry industry, but
do you know that they play an important part in modern
technology ? Quartz (SiO2) with its ability to amplify
energy and store information has become an essential
part in computer technology. It has piezoelectric charac-
teristic or the ability to produce a voltage when
subjected to a mechanical stress. Quartz are being used
in radio transmitter to stabilize and control frequency,
to regulate watches, and to make liquid crystal displays.
The basic element of quartz, Silicon, is now being used
to make solar cells. Talk about using crystal as a power-
ful tool to save energy and reduce pollutions !
THE LAW OF VIBRATION
You can look at something, like a book, and think how
can something that looks compeletely still and solid is
actually full of energy and emitting its own vibrational
frequency. Although a book looks completely solid and
still, within it there are millions and millions subatomic
particles jumping and running around, vibrating in a
specific rate, creating of what we see as a book.
Through Quantum Physics science has showed us that
everything in our universe is energy. When we go down
to sub-atomic level, we will not find matter. There is only
pure energy. Everything is energy and energy vibrates at

different rates. Nothing is at rest. This is The Law
Of Vibration. Trees outside our window, foods we
eat, people that we meet, movies we watch,
books we read, every colors and sounds, our
thoughts, you name it. They all have their own
vibrational requency.
But what does the Law Of Vibration has anything
to do with crystal healing ?
HOW CRYSTAL HEALING WORKS
Crystals has a geometrically perfect atomic struc-
ture which make them become a highly stable
transmitters. Their energy remain constant and is
not easily entrained by other frequency. It
requires a really high amplitude of energy to
knock them out of their dominant oscillary rate.
On the other hand, we don’t have that geometri-
cally perfect molecular stucture like crystals
have. Our energy fluctuates all the time, and
everything that we touch, see, smell, hear, and
anyone that make contact with us, or whatever
enter our energy field can easily entrain us with
their energy. We can recognize our vibrational
frequency fluctuations by observing our feelings,
mood and thoughts . By consciously changing
our frequency we can change our personal world.

We have the power in us, without any help from
the outside, to stabilize our vibrational frequency
and protect ourselves from being entrained with
other frequencies that doesn’t resonate with us.
But sometimes we need the right tool to be able
to do it efficiently.

I already gained my confidence in crystal healing. I have

or not, or whether it is forbidden or not, at least for
myself. To me it works in a beautiful, subtle way.

There’s no doubt that crystals are powerful energy tool,

and like any other tool, you can use it to build or to
destroy. I always have the intentions for the highest
good of all when working with crystals, and I hope for
crystals to bring about healing and positive transforma-
tion for anyone that is open to their energy.
