M.3) What have you learned from this exercise? Why do we do this exercise?
 It connects with what we are going to cover in two days topics
 To know clear its roles and responsibilities
 Know a person’s skills and its willing to do first (this is the concept of HR) so that we
can get the right person in the right position.

M.4) What is Human Resources Management?


 It means to manage Human. Therefore, we need to describe what human is.

Exercise
 What is human? Please describe it!
Input:
NOTE*When we talk about human in HRM perspective, see through two parts –
1) Hard – that we see called external skills (it is easy to manage)
2) Soft – personality, behavior, skills, knowledge and attitude - internal skills
NOTE*HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IS AN ARTS WHICH IS TO MANAGE HUMAN’S
FUNCTION!

1. Planning – planning for the future plan of the organization
2. Organizing – to organize all the resources for the implementing process
3. Staffing – analyze their jobs thus job description (Jobs and its responsibility) plus job
Specification (performance/ apply)
4. Leading
5. Controlling - check and balance, feedback
6. Motivation - need to motivate all the staf
NOTE*All the management level should know those steps.
Why HRM – When the organization size is big, we need HR team for the who Org because
the management levels are not able to handle as they are busy.

The function of Human Resources Management is;


1. HR planning
2. Recruitment / selection
3. Performance management
4. Benefit/ rewards
5. Safety / security
6. Training development (including scholarship opportunity)
7. Industrial relation (create working environment for them)
8. Termination/ dismissed

*Finance Manager – have a good skill at financial management
