Leadership Core

Course Schedule (January - July 2020)

Hermeneutics: January 11th & 12th


This course will help you better observe, interpret, and apply God’s eternally relevant Word to everyday life.

Instructor: Tom  Golding, ThM and PhD (Dallas Theological Seminary) is former Principal and
Lecturer in the Adelaide College of Ministries in South Australia. He has also pastored in churches in
the USA and Australia.

Doctrine Overview: February 8th & 9th


An overview of the main doctrines of the Christian faith, with an emphasis on how they apply to life and
ministry.

Instructor: Arvind Balaram is the Lead Pastor of DBF Gurgaon Church. He has a Master of Divinity
degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, and a Doctor
of Ministry degree from SAIACS in Bangalore.

Old Testament Survey: March 14th & 15th

This course will help you hear the basic messages of the individual books of the Old Testament and see how
they fit into the Bible’s storyline.

Spiritual Formation: April 4th & 5th


This course will explore being conformed to Christ through the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

Instructor: Chandran Kadambavamam serves as a Pastor at the Dwarka Congregation of Delhi


Bible Fellowship (DBF). Chandran has completed his Bachelor in Christian Ministry from the
Adelaide College of Ministries, Australia and Master of Religious Education from Asia Biblical
Theological Seminary.

Theology & Culture: May 9th & 10th


The course is designed to help urban Christians improve in their understanding of, and engagement with, the
cultural world that they inhabit.

Instructor: Nigel Ajay Kumar is the Head of the Department of Theology at SAIACS, Bangalore.
Before his theological education, Nigel worked for Filmfare magazine, Mumbai and he also taught
Journalism at Woodstock School, Mussoorie. Apart from teaching and writing, Nigel is the worship
leader at The Gospel Church, Bangalore.

Faith & Work: July 11th & 12th


The course will deepen the understanding of God’s calling on our lives and gain insight into God’s purpose for
work.

Instructor: Ranjit David serves as pastor of New City Delhi, a gospel centered church for
urban professionals. Ranjit has a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, Texas.

Leadership Core
Course Schedule ( August - December 2020)

Leadership: August 8th & 9th


This course will focus around Christ-centered Servant leadership, looking at the underlying theory of what
leadership is through a Biblical lens. The course will focus on leadership styles, use of power, spiritual
authority as a leader, and how to motivate and empower others, we will also be doing a short assessment in
personalised leadership styles.

Instructor:

Jonathan Abraham is the Issachar Initiative Coordinator for Development Associates International,
a leadership development group focussed on Servant Leadership. Jonathan also works as a
leadership consultant with UN agencies in Delhi.

Evangelism & Discipleship: September 12th & 13th


This course will focus on the biblical methods of  evangelism and discipleship, with the goal of helping
students integrate these into their life contexts.

Instructor: Peter Malakar is the Pastor of Capital Bible Church Delhi which was planted in
2006. While serving as a medical doctor in various prominent hospitals he sensed the calling
for church planting in the city as well as with unreached people groups. Being trained
theologically in the Master’s University, Peter has been making disciples and training in
evangelism around the world. Peter is also the founder to Passion Movement International
(NGO on health and education) as well as business owner of Questa Group.

Preaching & Teaching: October 10th & 11th


This course will help you understand the principle and practice of gospel centered sermons with a particular
emphasis on how the gospel of grace culminating in Christ unifies all of Scripture and affects our
interpretation and application of the text.

New Testament Survey: November 7th & 8th

Biblical Counselling: December 12th & 13th


This course will teach students the model and method of biblical  counselling; deepening  our knowledge of
God and of people, seeing how God brings real and lasting change in our everyday lives, and how to walk
with one another in this process. 

Instructor: Sarah Prabhakar Rufus completed her studies in psychology in Sydney, Australia
and also completed theological studies at Westminster Theological Seminary/Christian
Counseling and Education Foundation with a major in Biblical Counselling. Sarah works with
Biblical Counselling Trust of India (BCTI)
