Learning Outcomes [ASSURE (State Objectives)]
At the end of the lesson session, the second grade English learners will show the asked body parts which are
asked in English correctly when asked.

Students will be shown a Pawtoon video that introduces names of facial body parts in English. The teacher will
need a computer and a projector.

The students will be asked to draw one of theirs class mates face on a paper and name write the names of their
facial features in English and present their drawings.

Summary
In this lesson the students will be presented with the names of facial body parts in English. These parts are:
Eyes
Tongue
Mouth
Nose
Ears
Students will also learn which parts will require the ‘’s’’ affix.
Example: My Eye(s) are ithching.
Measurement & Evaluation
Evaluating the students writings and making a Q&A part.

Measurement & Assessment Activities for The students drawings are collected and are evaluated by
Individual Performance the teacher according to their success on matching the
names of the body parts. Also, a Q&A where the teacher
asks the student a random body part and expects him/her
to show it on his/her own body.

Homework (optional) The students are asked to draw the faces of their family
members and correctly name them.
Explanation

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
The teacher will start by using the video presentation. The teacher can pause the video and repeat the given
word and ask the class repeat after him/her until the teacher is confident that the class got the meaning of the
word. Then the teacher asks the class to draw their desk mates face and present it to each other and then
bring them back to the teacher. Afterwards, the teacher makes a Q&A where the teacher tries to emphases the
given information to the students.

The backup plan is if there are some technical problems the teacher should have a printed face with all the
names of the facial body parts on paper with him and her which will be presented to the class instead of the
Pawtoon video.
