(2) Introduction/Significance/Justification
 The higher education environment in the country is undergoing rapid transformation with the full implementation
of the K-12 program, ASEAN Integration and ICT development.
 The academe and industry have been used to operate and thrive independently from each other and now working
closely together to respond to the escalating challenges of a changing global landscape
 In the global academic community, linkages and partnerships have become the top priority.
 Linkages and partnerships have become indispensable tool for higher education institutions to keep it programs
updated and responsive to the needs of the industries and communities.
(3) Objectives
Generally, this paper seeks to identify the nature, benefits, issues and concerns of the academe-industry partnership in
Cagayan State University-Andrews Campus.

Specifically, this paper seeks to answer the following questions:

1. What are the areas of collaboration with industry partners?
2. What are the benefits of being an industry partner in terms of:
a. Student Internship
b. Faculty Immersion
c. Scholarship Grant
d. Research and Development Projects
e. Community Involvement Projects
f. Seminars and Training
g. Job placement
3. What are the issues and concerns on the different areas of collaboration?
4. How Cagayan State University-Andrews Campus address the issues and concerns?
5. What are the prospects of Cagayan State University-Andrews Campus on academe-industry partnership?

(4) Methodology
This study will employ descriptive method of research to identify the nature, benefits, issues, concerns and prospects.
Survey questionnaire will be the main data gathering tool. Interview will be also employed to validate the responses of the
participants in the questionnaire and to illicit answers on the prospects of Cagayan State University-Andrews on industry-
academe partnerships. Primary and Secondary data will be used in this study.
