Dear Hiring Team,

I am writing this letter to introduce myself as an applicant for the business analyst position, of which I am
made aware of through your company’s website.

I am looking for a career that would provide in-depth exposure to different companies and thinking tools to
address different challenges in business. This interest a result of my previous experience as an equity analyst
in RCBC Securities, Inc. where, although it did introduce me to companies in different sectors, it did not give
the opportunity to dig deeper into the businesses due to the sheer size of my total coverage.

I occupied my previous position with the goal of learning how companies create value. However, I began to
feel that materially contributing to their value-creation would be far more interesting than speculating
company performance (and movements to stock price). Moreover, I find the alignment of the output of
consulting with the clients’ interests very attractive, as I come from an industry structured to have
commission-driven interests occasionally conflicting with my work.

I come with a background in economics and equity research which has given me traction in learning and
subsequent implementation, with available data, of applicable frameworks. As such, while I have no
professional experience in consulting, I want to offer my great interest to learn and use strategic and
operational analytics in servicing your clients’ businesses as my contribution to your reputable consultancy
firm.
