Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
When planning this course, we assumed that the students had sufficient technological tools and materials. We
assumed that they knew how to use the applications used in these activities, so we did not provide any
information about it. The flow of the lesson will be like this:
At the beginning of the lesson, the teacher will talk about comparison of a natural number and an improper
fraction by using direct instruction in a detailed way. Furthermore, the teacher will give adequate examples
about this topic. This part of the lesson lasts two lesson hours, and the remaining two lesson hours will last
with activities. After telling the subject, the teacher will pass on the first activity which includes a mini quiz
from Kahoot. This quiz covers all the topics by this week. The teacher will solve the questions of the quiz with
detailed explanations after each question is answered. After this activity is over, the teacher shows a mind map
from bubble.us. Then, the teacher will summarize all three weeks’ topics on this mind map. Afterwards, the
teacher will send a Google Form via e-mail to each student and asks the students to answer the questions in
this form at home. The purpose of this activity is to see what students liked in fractions topic, what was difficult
for them and their thoughts or recommendations for the overall weeks. In this way, the teacher will evaluate
himself/herself and deliver a better instruction for the coming lessons according to this evaluation.

Some Possible Drawbacks and Back-up Plans for Them:

Possible Drawback 1:
In Kahoot activity, there may be a problem with Internet connection or projection may not work or the
electricity maybe go out. Moreover, there may be a problem with application. Therefore, the game will not be
played.
Back -up Plan for This Situation:
The teacher will write the questions from Kahoot game on the black board and asks the students to solve them
on their notebooks.
Possible Drawback 2:
In Bubble.us, there may be a problem with Internet connection or projection may not work or the electricity
maybe go out. Moreover, there may be a problem with the website.
Back -up Plan for This Situation:
The teacher will draw the mind map which is included in bubble.us on the blackboard on his/her own.
Possible Drawback 3:
In Google Form activity, the students may have a problem with their e-mails. For example, some students may
not receive the e-mail or some of them may forget their passwords.
Back -up Plan for This Situation:
The teacher will give these students previously prepared papers which include the same questions from Google
Form, asks them to answer the questions on these papers.
