The School Environment

Whenever i entered the vicinity of F. Bangoy National High School I

always saw students practicing (dance) for their respective program.

As for their offices I saw teachers busy with their paper works though I
can say it’s too crowded since there are a lot of them and the faculty
room is small.

As for the teachers they are very friendly, they always smile and answer
back when I greet them.

The halls are clean and so with the canteen. Their drinking station is
also clean.
 The Classroom Environment

I was surprised to see huge population in one classroom and no proper

ventilation. There are only 1 ceiling fan which is somewhat defective
because it will not rotate and 1 stand fan. I observed that students at
the back were busy doing their own thing while teacher was discussing
in front. Since the classroom is too small for them, students were
having a hard time standing up whenever their names were called and
it’s also difficult for them to move.

As for the CT she uses telenovela as her motivation before the lesson
proper. I observed that students is very energetic in sharing what
happen to the characters in the telenovela basically because students
now a days are very fond of watching TV. As for her evaluation she uses
picture and let students make a story about the picture.

This class observation will help me a lot as a future teacher because

now I have an idea on how to get the attention of the students. I also
learn how motivation is very important in the lesson planning. If I will
be a teacher someday with God’s mercy and will be handling huge
population in one classroom I will be roaming around in the classroom
so students sitting at the back will also hear what I am discussing in
front because lapel is not enough.
 COMMUNICATION SKILLS

With my student buddy we shared common observation that the

classroom is not conducive for learning. The classroom is very small and
students at the back were not participating in the activities. Having a
class of 60 plus is not an easy task. The students were very noisy. Boy’s
bulling some girls at the back. We also have common observation that
the teacher is not that strict that is why some students were not paying
attention. We both concluded that it’s not bad to be strict once in a
while if you really have the passion in making sure that the students will
learn from you at the end of the day.

But in the end, with or without words of the teacher, together with
the effort me and my buddy concluded that handling such
classroom with 60 plus student is really a difficult task and
teachers shares a very big contribution to both school and the
community.
