VESSEL ARRIVAL DOCUMENT - BASIC SAFETY RULES AT CSPV FACILITIES

Dear Master / Chief Mate,


Welcome to CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal (CSPV). We wish you a safe and pleasant stay.
During your stay, please observe the following rules and communicate them to all the crew.
1. COMPULSORY.
• CSPV is fully compliant with ISPS Code. Access to the quayside is strictly controlled and restricted to authorized
personnel only. Follow all instructions given to you by our staff.
• 24h shuttle service to transfer crew members into and out of CSPV restricted area. To assist with a smooth
service, please contact terminal staff in advance.
• Watch out for any moving vehicle and give way to all vehicles in the terminal.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when out on site, anywhere at CSPV facilities,
even if coming ashore. This includes high visibility vest, helmet and safety footwear.
2. FORBIDDEN.
• Entering any restricted area without CSPV authorized personnel.
o Pedestrians are not allowed on the terminal operational areas.
o Under no circumstances enter the container blocks or any other working area, nor stand between
containers.
• Standing on RTG/STS way.
• Crossing the container yard.

• Touching wire or installation devices in the reefer container area.
• No weapons, alcohol or drugs are allowed on CSPV. Access under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not
allowed.
3. DOCK WORKERS 6h SHIFT WORKING TIME: 08/14 - 14/20 - 20/02 - 02/08. Therefore, any damage to the vessel
or cargo must be reported to CSPV staff at the time of the incident or as soon as possible after. CSPV will not
acknowledges or accept any claim presented at the end of operations unless prior verification has been made by
the appropriate terminal staff.
4. In case you have IMDG CARGO on board or such cargo will be manipulated on your vessel you should observe
international and Spanish regulations and in particular have a red flag/light displayed and towing ropes prepared for
immediate use by the tugs, hanging from forward and aft of the vessel.
5. In case LASHING/UNLASHING is done by the crew, please observe the enclosed work sequence in order to
ensure that bays to be worked are suitably prepared.
6. Please advise and supply documents for DAMAGED OR LEAKING CONTAINERS for discharge in Valencia. If you
need a technical service on board, please contact terminal staff.
7. S STORE CRANE cannot be used during discharge/loading operations but with prior notice and authorization
from the terminal
8. It is the vessels responsibility to ensure that the GANGWAY REMAINS CLEAR OF CRANE RAILS AND OTHER
EQUIPMENT and on the seaside at all times.
9.- REDUCE EMISSIONS AND
POLLUTION AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE during loading/unloading operations. The terminal could take immediate
action and stop operations due to H&S reasons. If there are not good conditions for work in the event of poor
visibility and/or black smoke or elevated dust or CO2 levels. In order to avoid any delay, it is required your
cooperation while the ship is at the terminal.

CPSV implements a procedure to verify and control the lashing performed to loads in Vessels operating at CSPV This
allows us to check jointly with the V
checks will be conducted in every shift as load operations are completed on each Bay, in order to avoid incidents at
finishing operations and unnecessary delays to the Vessel. After the completion of each bay, you will be requested to
sign the lashing document with your approval or concerned remarks to work performed, if is not to your full satisfaction.
Reefer cargo to be discharged must be unplugged and the cable must be secured into the cable box.
