Defining/ Describing Assessment and Collage Making

In this activity, you learned concepts which helped you accomplished the different tasks successfully.
This time, kindly answer the questions and complete the statements related to the activity which would
show the importance of this activity in your day-to-day activities.

In this activity, I learned…that assessment is very important in integrating teaching-learning

process that serve as a tool or bases of teaching and learning process to maintain and control
standards and also to motivate and guide learning not just for grading purpose. I also learned that
there are many ways to assess students assessing in way that will help them assess themselves
about their learning and improvement.

What are the things I like best about the activity? Provide Brief Explanations why. I like best in this
activity is that it is engaging to all students and it is performance based assessment it encourages
students to be creative also to be critical thinker about what and how they will present the activity
it also promote socialization among students where students make their jingle and be participative
in the activity.

What are the things I don’t like about the activity? Provide Brief Explanations why. What I don’t
like about the activity is group teamwork/ cooperation as it is by group and we have individual
uniqueness and differences some other may have their opinion or suggestions but being neglected.

What are the feelings / emotions you felt or shown about activity? Provide brief explanations why
Happy, excited some are disappointed. Students are happy in presenting their activity specially in
jingle parts every group was happy and excited about their scores and comments but there are
some students that are disappointed about their scores because as they said they don’t deserve
those some scores.

How did the lesson help you see the real world use of the topic? It helps me a lot as a future
educator about the real application and uses of assessments in real life situation. I realize that
assessment is very important in teaching and learning process to know the strength and
weaknesses and how could we or what are the thing we should do to improve and develop also
furnish instruction.
I can use the concepts in my day to day activities by assessing myself about my learning and
development where I able to achieve my learning goal what are my strength and weaknesses on
what I know and what I can do to my personal growth.

What are your unanswered questions that needs to be addressed? What are the methods of
assessment that will suit for a specific topic or task and what is the proper way to assess learning
and teaching process.

What are things you have in mind to improve the activity better? Set a good standards and rules for
the students to be followed that students must be serious not totally serious in their presentation
and avoid unnecessary jokes or movements that will disturb the presentation.
