January 2006 - July 2009 911 operator, LFUCG

Answering non-emergency and emergency calls from the public, discerning whether
to dispatch police, fire or ambulance, assigning priority, operating police radio and
using national computer database to look up drivers' histories and check for
outstanding warrants and safety alerts, contacting other departments for assistance
when needed such as Streets and Roads or Traffic Engineering, contacting on-call
personnel when needed for special cases such as Canine Units, Robbery-Homicide or
Family Abuse Detectives.

April 2002 - January 2006 Medical Receptionist, Lexington Clinic

Greeting patients, chart preparation for appointments, filing, faxing, data entry,
scheduling, multiline phone, scheduling and recertifying procedures in the
Ambulatory Surgery Center and the hospital, ordering radiology and lab tests. I first
worked for 1-3 physicians in Orthopedics and then for 5 physicians in GI.

Filling in as a temporary receptionist at different businesses including a mortgage


company, an insurance company, and a couple of medical offices. I believe Accustaff
no longer exists.

June 1998 - March 2001 Secretary, Hagyard-Davidson-McGee Equine Hospital

Receptionist and clerical work in the "medicine" hospital (as opposed to the surgical
area). Included greeting clients, creating the daily list of inpatients in Excel and their
contact information, billing, scheduling appointments and meetings, filing, faxing,
multiline phone, intercom system. Practice included five veterinarians.

1994 - 1998 Retail Sales/Special Orders, Joseph-Beth Booksellers

Cashier, in charge of Architecture, Interior Design, Crafts, Woodworking, Drama,


Collectibles sections of store, then moved into "back room" ordering books
specifically requested by customers but not carried by store's main distributor.
Placing orders with publishers by
phone, mail and fax, doing "receiving" reports in computer inventory when the books
arrived.
