Forward Collision-Avoidance
There have been many complaints raised with the forward collision avoidance system
malfunctioning. On some occasions, the system does not respond or brake when a collision is
imminent and other times it will brake by itself when the road ahead is completely clear.
Braking System
Issues with the brake sensors have caused major headaches for Nissan Rogues since 2017. The
defective sensors register driver’s actions as pressing the acceleration pedal and brake pedal
simultaneously which is causing erroneous behavior in the vehicle.
The innovative sensing system was introduced in 2017 and while it is a clever addition for Nissan it
does not always work properly despite numerous software and firmware updates over the past
four years. Owners commonly find that when trying to park or change lanes the sensor do not
work properly.
