• Field service Management of a large Managed Service provider for telecom - To reduce field service
cost, service availability, Increase Customer Satisfaction

• Replacing manual, rule-based field service engineer assignment process with scientific, automated
methods
• Developed five sets of new rules capable of identifying potentially false or inappropriate alarms
• New rules added to their existing process
• Post implementation it was observed that there was significant reduction in field service cost,
better utilization of field service personnel (Improved by 8%), and improved service availability
(Service personnel assignment brought under the critical path of service requirements)

• Advanced modeling techniques such as Decision Trees, Association Rules, Logistic Regression and
