Gaurav Goyal , Assistant Professor , Department of Computer Science , Dr. Shakuntala Misra
National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow for his invaluable guidance it would have never
being possible for me to take this work to completion without his restless support and
encouragement. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had a chance to work under his
supervision .In spite of his schedule he was always approachable and took his time off to
attend my problems and gave the opportunity advice learning how to do research and how to
write technical reports from his has been a life time experience in itself. It has been a very
enlightening and enjoyable experience to work under him.

I also wish to thank whole heartily all the faculty member of the department of Computer
Science for the invaluable knowledge they have imparted on me and for teaching the
principles in most exciting and enjoyable way.

 ABSTRACT

My project ‘UNIVERSITY LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM’ will provide online

facility of library services to the students. This project is developed to remove manual work
of librarian in the university library. It will provide online facility to the librarian for
managing the library services like add and modify the details of student as well as mange the
book’s services like issue books, add books and return books, the new news about university
library are also shown to the student on library website.
This project is divided in 2 modules basically- Librarian & Student. The ULMS maintains
information about all librarian and student as well all the services that are carried out in the
university library.

FEATURES
 The system maintains all records of the librarian, student and books.
 It enables librarian to issue books and update the record in the database.
 It enables students to see issued book’s information, return information and new news
about university library.
Above all, University Library Management System is a very good effort for being eco-
friendly as we can save hundreds of trees by saving paper and can help in making the world a
better place to live by going paperless.
