Pre-Lesson • Introduce the topic of the lesson using the picture of a mummy to
find out what pupils know about this topic.

Lesson • Teacher plays the CD (CD1 – Track 6). 21st Century Learning skills:
Development • Pupils listen and point out the words in the vocabulary section. Communication
• Follow instructions in Teacher’s book for Vocabulary (CD1 –
Track 6).
• Ask pupils to look at the pictures.
• Show pupils the picture of the mummy again. Use this to
encourage pupils to guess the meaning of alive.
• Ask pupils to point to the bubbles and follow along as teacher
plays the CD.
• Teacher plays the CD again and ask pupils to shadow read.
