Personal Statement

My name is ----------------- and I would like to apply at UKCBC for BTEC HND
Computing and System Development Course.
From an early age, I’ve always been deeply interested in computing. It was my dad,
introducing me to the computer systems at his work place that first sparked this interest. I can
always remember the feeling of wanting to know just how computers worked, why they
worked and what else they could do.
This interest never left me, only growing more profound and passionate with every
new discovery I made. From communicating with an artificial intelligence to seeing the
wonders of the Internet for the first time, computers have left me fascinated with just how
much power yet mystery they hold.
I decided to join UKCBC instead of other colleges because is a good institution with
well instructed teachers and with up to date equipment which is one the most crucial factors
in IT industry.
I was dreaming of a work in Computing Industry from an early age, therefore I started
to pay attention at every detail from my IT class when I was at lyceum. My interest in
computing has not been restricted to the classroom and lyceum life. Within the last twelve
months I’ve used the knowledge that I’ve gained over the past twelve years together with the
help of my family I decided to join the Computing Course at your college.
I am very fascinated in Technologies and how these can change our world, I want to
be the person who will tomorrow change the world to better. I want to be the person who will
bring the peace on each continent and in the same time I want to be the person who will
receive Nobel prize for peace. Having looked through the materials of your college, I was
very delighted to find the opportunity to spend 2 years learning BTEC HND Computing and
System Development Course at the UKCBC. I have decided to apply for this college because
I am sure it would strongly enrich my future career and help me in my prospective IT future.
Moreover, I consider this programme as a fantastic opportunity to get in touch with culture of
United Kingdom and educational system. Finally, I am very curious about different
approaches in the IT area at the foreign college.
I would very much like to spend 2 years at the UKCBC. This would give me a chance
to know more about IT, about artificial intelligence from one of the greatest experts in this
field of one of the largest in United Kingdom colleges. Furthermore, I could improve my
English and increase my confidence and I am confident that my experience in UK would be
extremely exciting, fun, and valuable for both my studies and overall general development.
