b. use appropriate punctuation marks in a sentence, and

c. appreciate the use of punctuation marks in a sentence.

Direction: The students will sing a song while
passing the ball and when the music stops
the one who holds the ball will act the
situation that I will be given through
different emotions.

Punctuation marks are symbols that


are used to aid the clarity and
comprehension of written language.

PERIOD - It is always located at the end of a


complete sentence.

-Used at the end of an indirect


question.

COMMA- used comma to separate words


clauses, or ideas within a sentence.
-Used to separate City from its State.

-Used a comma to separate the day


of the month from the year.

QUESTION MARK - used a question mark only


after a direct question.

EXCLAMATION POINT –used the exclamation


point to show emphasis or excitement.

V APOSTROPHE- used as a substitute for a


missing letter or letters in a word (as in
the contraction cannot = can't),

to -show the possessive case


(Jane's room), and in the plural of letters,
some numbers and abbreviations.

Note: groups of years no longer require


an apostrophe (for example, the 1950s
or the 90s).

6. APPLICATION
Direction: I will show them a picture of
punctuation marks. All they need to do is to
form a sentence.
