Solution: P = 2(l + w)

Solution: A = l x w
= 5 3/5 x 3 ¾
= 21

Solution: Change 3:5 to higher terms such that their


sum is 112.

sell. How many mangoes were not in a full basket?
Solution: 273÷60 = 4 r.33
Answer: 33

22. Nita can make 6 glasses of drink from a can of fruit juice. If she
has to prepare for 76 people, how many cans of juice does she
have to buy?
Solution: 76÷6 = 12.66
Answer: 13

23. The lengths of sides of triangle are 12.3 cm, 15.8 cm and 16.5
cm. Find its perimeter.
Solution: P = s + s + s
= 12.3 + 15.8 + 16.5

33. Bing has a 10 m piece of string. He cut from a 3 ½ m piece


and another 2 1/7 m piece. How much string remained?
Solution: 10 – (3 ½ + 2 1/7)
10 – (3 7/14 + 2 2/14)
10 – 5 9/14

34. What is the ratio of 25 dm to 4 ½ m?


Solution: 4.5 m = 45 dm

41. The bases of a trapezoidal field are 180 and 142 m. the
distance between them is 95 m. how many hectares is the field?
Solution: (180 + 142) x 95÷2 = 15 295 ÷ 10 000
15 295 m2 = ______ hectares
Answer: 1.5295 hectares

42. The area of table cloth is 6.3 m2. If the width is 1.8, what is the
length?
Solution: 6.3 m2÷1.8 m
Answer: 3.5 m

Solution: 58 – 4 = 54
