PRIVACY POLICY

When you apply for a job with us and submit the application form to us, Projek Lebuhraya
Usahasama Berhad will be processing your information and also information of third parties
such as your referee. Unless stated otherwise, this Privacy Policy applies to both personal data of
job applicants and employees.

The personal data that we process are set out in the attached form. Such data are, among others,
as follows:-

 Name;
 Date of birth;
 Photograph;
 Religion;
 Race;
 Gender;
 Marital Status;
 Identity card / Passport No.;
 Contact details such as mobile phone, address and email;
 Education background; and
 Work experience.

Job Applicant
If you are a job applicant, we will process the said information together with other information
we may obtain about you for the following purposes:-

• evaluating your application;

• recruitment process;
• character assessment / credit checks;
• to assess your suitability for employment with us;
• for administration and management purposes; and
• statistical analysis.

Unless stated otherwise, your information is necessary to us. If you do not provide all the
information requested herein, we may not be able to offer you employment.

Employee
If you are successful in your application and is subsequently employed by us, we will process the
said information together with other information we may obtain about you for the following
purposes:-

• human resource and personnel management;

• safety and security;
 • character assessment / credit checks;
• monitoring and assessing of your performance;
• for administration and management purposes; and
• statistical analysis.

Unless stated otherwise, your information is necessary to us. If you do not provide all the
information requested herein, we are not able to have complete information about you thus
affecting our human resource functions.

Disclosure of your information

If you are applying for a position in one of the companies within PLUS Malaysia Berhad
(“PLUS”) group of companies, your information will be passed to that company. Nevertheless,
your information will processed by PLUS as the PLUS group of companies centralises its human
resource functions and roles to PLUS.

Your information will also be disclosed to other entities within PLUS group of companies for the
purpose of benefits computation or streamlining of perks and benefits of all the employees of
PLUS group of companies.

We may also disclose your information to our service providers and agents providing services
relating to the purposes of which the personal data is collected. If you are employed by us or any
of the members of the PLUS group of companies, we will disclose your information to
organisations which provide and administer training and talent development, and employee
benefits, such as medical benefits, subsidies, insurance schemes, pension schemes and employee
share schemes (if any).

Your information may also be transferred overseas to third parties for the fulfilment of the above
purposes including data processing purposes. We will exercise all due diligence to ensure that
your personal data processed overseas will be processed in accordance with personal data laws of
Malaysia.

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in good faith, if such
action is necessary to:-

(i) comply with any law enforcement agency requirement, court orders or legal process
or;
(ii) protect and defend the rights or property of the PLUS group of companies and their
users.

We might sell or buy companies, subsidiaries, or business units as we continue to develop our
business. In such transactions, your information may be disclosed to third parties involved in the
transactions. If you are to be placed in another entity, your information will be transferred to that
entity.
Sensitive Information

During the course of this recruitment process or your employment with us, we may process your
sensitive personal data such as your health, religion beliefs and misconducts (if any). If you
volunteer such information, you are giving your explicit consent for us to process such
information for the purposes described above.

We may also obtain sensitive personal information from other parties upon your explicit consent
or when it is allowed by law.

Information about other individuals

If you give us information about another person, for example, your spouse, children, relative and
referee’s personal information, you confirm that the other person has appointed you to act on
his/her behalf and has agreed that you can:
(1) give consent on his/her behalf to the processing of his or her personal data;
(2) receive in his/her behalf any data protection notices; and
(3) warrant that you have obtained his/her consent for us to store his/her personal data.

How long do we keep your information

Your information will be kept for a reasonable period in accordance with the data protection
laws in Malaysia.

Successful applicants
If you are successful in your application, we will keep your information in accordance with our
retention period. Details of our retention period can be obtained by writing to us.

Unsuccessful applicants
If your application is unsuccessful, we will keep your information for a period of three (3)
months for the purpose of reconsidering your employment with us or with any of the members in
our group of companies unless you request that it be deleted from our recruitment system.
Access, Correction & Complaints
You can access your personal data or correct it, subject to the applicable data protection laws in
Malaysia (for which we may charge a reasonable fee for access). However, we will not provide
you with the information of other individuals, including but not limited to the assessments and/or
views of our interviewers or assessors of you.
