Credit Model 3+1

Course Author KARTHIKEYAN

Version No Rev 4

Date 11-Jan-19

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Production, Planning & Control is the core of operations management. A typical manufacturing plant
incur over 70% of its cost in direct materials and conversion. Forecasting, capacity planning and
scheduling are key functions that optimize this key operating expense. This can be achieved through a
structured process management. This course introduces these concepts to the students and prepare
them to apply in a manufacturing plant. These learning are equally applicable for service industries as
well.
